We woke up to no hot water. Left a message and a technician called an hour later and was at our house 30 minutes later. George did a great job problem solving and we had our hot water back much faster than we every hoped for.

My girlfriend called about the propane tank gauge not working was reading 80 present an it was empty they said no it works reading 80 persent obviously it not working if it’s empty they wouldn’t even come check it then charge 100 dollars too relite the pilot when it automatically relates an charges too put soap around two connections what a joke lady that takes phone calls is veary rude not recommended

I wanted to say thank you to the Jackman's crew for responding and resolving our 27 year old hot water tanks failure this past Christmas. Dalton and Joe answered so many of our questions about our new system, were polite, respectful and knowledgeable, truly an impressive team! Tim ordered our new system right away and got it to us as quickly as possible, and Dan & Joe got us up and running within hours of the indirect hot water tanks arrival. Thank you!!! This all happened in the timespan of the Saturday before Christmas and the day after Christmas. Thank you Tim, Dan, Joe, & Dalton! We appreciated all your work towards a timely turnaround.

Can't stand by their work.Recently had put Jackman's installed boiler serviced for the 4th time in as many years, and were told by the technician that helped us (he's very good, and I won't disparage his work) that the repair would not cost us a thing, as it was to fix a problem caused by a different technician's faulty work on installation. Lo and behold, we then received a bill for $180 for the service call. The office personnel wouldn't hear our argument about what the technician had quoted us. This wasn't the first call for a repair caused by their own shoddy installation of our boiler, either. Within the first year, we had to have a fan in the unit replaced as it was installed with wires rubbing against the fan blades. Another $180 to fix that, and nearly some very cold days spent waiting for a part with no heat.Go elsewhere.

Jackman's has come through for us on several occasions over the years. Recently I went round and round with various other companies trying to get problems with my home propane boiler resolved and wasted a lot of money. Then I called Jackman's, and although they were very busy they fit me in. The guy who came out was SO GOOD! clearly knowledgable, willing to answer questions, and left our boiler running better than ever. I wont even bother going elsewhere any more!

We have always been happy with Jackman's Inc. They provide our fuel as well as servivcing our heating system. After delaying for years, we finally decided to install a new boiler and am 100% happy with our decision to go with Jackman's. Not only did they provide the best price, but the service is unmatchable. Tim responds quickly to emails and answered all of our questions thoroughly. The service and installation team is always respectable and happy to answer any questions on site. I highly recommend Jackman's if you're in the Bristol/Hinesburg area.

mid December 2021 I've finally saved enough to have a heater installed in my garage I called Jackman's to get an estimate on a tank and heater install. they arrived on time and the person who came seemed friendly. He took measurements and we spoke about possible locations to install the heater and the tank. I mentioned having done some homework on doing it myself and finding my own tank but said I didn't really have the time, I said I really needed to see the number so I would know I had enough ( I guessed about 4k would cover it and could go more if needed.) When he left, he said he would get right back to me with an estimate and may be able to schedule the work late January. I believe he said 2 days to get an estimate. After a week I called to check on the estimate, at first the receptionist said they were too busy to do it anytime soon. I asked them to humor me and give me a time frame and price and maybe I could make it work since I was very interested in having them do it. she came back and said they were declining service.It would have been nice to know upfront they didn't want to do it, rather than having me wait a week to be told no. and only after I called to ask. and an explanation as to why would be better...

Did business with them for a year, and found them very difficult to work with. The service people were courteous and friendly, but the office staff do not extend respect to their clients. They also are not always upfront with the charges, they just bill you and that's that. For instance, when we initially requested propane from them, they brought over and installed a tank to our motorhome. After the fact, they mailed a bill was for every drop of propane in the tank, with a big charge for all the paraphernalia to attach the tank, and a whopping service charge on top. We asked about the paraphernalia and were told that they did not provide anything but the tank, and that if was ours, we bought it. Last month, on 11/3/21, we had to move to a winter site at the campground and had called them to move the tank to the new site. They came by early morning 11/3 before were ready to move, so they disconnected the tank and moved it to the new site, with a promise to come back in a "couple of hours" to reconnect the tank to the motorhome at the new site. By 5:00 that afternoon we realized that they had not returned. We were not concerned because there was some propane in the motorhome's internal propane tank and we would not need to turn on the heat that night; we were okay. I did call and leave a message to remind them that they still needed to send someone to reconnect us - meaning the next business day, since I knew that their office had already closed at 5:00pm. At about 6-7:00 we heard someone outside our motorhome; it was one of their servicemen. We were surprised to see him, we weren't expecting anyone that night. No one had called us back saying they were sending him. While on the road on 11/17, I went into my online credit card account to see whether they had refunded us for the propane that was left in the tank, which belonged to us since we prepaid for every molecule of propane in the tank. (The 100-gallon tank was still about 23-25% full when they took it.) But instead of a refund, we found a $219 charge on our credit card. When we called to inquire, we were told it was for the "after hours" service call we had requested on 11/3. They allege that someone heard our message and called us back to say that someone would be coming out. That is completely untrue, and I have my cell phone record to prove that there was no communication between us other than the message I left. No one called, we never agreed to an "after-hours" service call, and if an "after hours" service call would have been offered at the exorbitant price of $219, we would have refused it. We were not in desperate need of propane that night, so did not need their tank to be connected till the next business day. When I asked about our refund, the answer was that they were still figuring it out, a week later. We find their conduct completely unprofessional, unethical, and disrespectful in that they took it upon themselves to send a serviceman out "after hours" without a request or approval from us and then bill our credit card an exorbitant amount for it. Their cold and insensitive treatment left a very bad taste in our mouths; we will never do business with them again. And we recommend to anyone needing propane service in the Bristol, VT area to avoid doing business with them, go someplace else. And to top it off, when they removed their tank on 11/12, they also took all the paraphernalia they had charged us nearly $100 for; what they told us "it's yours now, you bought it! Also, since we left Vermont on 11/14/21, we started smelling propane and finally found someone to check our internal tank. To add insult to injury, the tech informed us that the last person that disconnected the tank from our motorhome had caused a leak, to the tune of $350 to get it repaired. In my opinion, high prices, horrible customer treatment, unauthorized charges, pending refund, (maybe inadvertent) seizure of our property, damage to our property - does not translate into good business management and practices

I've been a customer of Jackman's since I moved here in 2014, and the service has always been exceptional. Last night, after the office had closed, I realized my heating was out. It was almost 7 PM, it was 12 degrees outside and it looked like a cold night was in store. I left a message at Jackman's and within 45 minutes, Brian came over and within another 30 minutes had fixed the burned-out motor on my boiler. And did it all with good humor. Many thanks for being such a great service to the community.

Their technicians are friendly and have always serviced our heating equipment. When a problem comes along, I know I can call the office and talk to a qualified professional about our issue and get service right away. I highly recommend Jackman's and their Team!
