Drove an hour to meet friends from an hour the other way. Met the large lunch crowd on its way out! Had soup, sandwiches, coffee and spent an hour catching up. Maybe a third of the tables were busy. Servers were friendly and helpful, making sure we didn't feel rushed, topping up the coffee, and talking us into one of their fantastic desserts. Clean, bright dining room, wide menu (breakfast until 11 am), open kitchen out front. We may make this a regular thing.

We have property in the area. Pretty much every trip has a stop here. No frills. Just a clean establishment with a good diner and a lot of baked goods, pre-made sandwiches, and other typical gas station stuff.

This past Tuesday evening after stopping in for dinner and having traveled nearly 600 miles that day, I chose to settle in and nap for a few hours. Traveling alone as a middle aged female I parked near the employees vehicles under the street light where I felt safer and out of the way of the big rigs. Mind you that this is not the first time I've done this at p&h though apparently it will be the last. As I settled in and was reviewing my Atlas 2 state police troopers surprised me. They asked if I had been approached by anyone from inside the building, I hadn't. I was then told to leave the premises. I don't know why. I was doing nothing wrong. Later I called and spoke with Heidi the manager who put me off to a man named Craig who stated that drug deals are a problem there and because of where I was parked he didn't want one of his employees shot! In 40 plus years of patronizing p&h that's the last timei find the treatment I received at this truck stop appalling!.

Stopped in on my way back to PA, and got an order to go, to eat in my truck later. They forgot my pie, never gave me silverware, and the front desk lady was rude. I'll never go back. Food is very very mediocre at best. The sad thing is they only had 1 customer in the restaurant. The waitresses were just all hanging out and talking to each other, and not interested in my order.Dont waste your time, eat elsewhere!

We were meeting 2 other couples and arrived to get a table. It was not crowded, there were empty tables and we asked for a table for 6. Because the last 2 people were not yet there, they refused to seat us until they came. So we ended up getting a table for 4. We were then told that when the other 2 people arrived, they would not be able to sit with us, even though there was room. Again, it was not crowded, there were empty tables, no line. We were prepared to tip our server $100 because, working in restaurants, understand about turning tables, etc. Our father had just passed away and my brother and I were to meet a couple of his best friends. We were also told that we needed to order quickly because we couldn't just sit there and drink our beverages without ordering. We were told this was corporate policies and exceptions could not be made. Again, if it was busy and there was a line we would completely understand. It was between the lunch and dinner hours, empty tables and no line. The hostess and our server had attitude with us as they rattled off the corporate policy. My brother, against my advice, still tipped $30 on a $70 bill. Our Dad's friends were so put off by this they may not go back if things do not change.
