My sister in law lived above this place in college. When we would visit it was a must to get some pizza here. Good food.

Called and ordered 2 pizzas, got there, looked in, 6 people working, NO ONE WAS WEARING MASKS. ZERO SOCIAL DISTANCING. Including 2 customers before me, one of them was leaning over the counter talking to the cashier face to face. FACE TO FACE.Called them back and told them we are not going to honoring the order, and the manager told us "masks are NOT required!" And asked us what are they supposed to do with those pizzas?!?! Went to Vermont accd.vermont.gov, and..."Employees must observe strict social distancing of 6 feet while on the job""Employees must wear face coverings over their nose and mouth when in the presence of others. In the case of retail cashiers, a translucent shield or 'sneeze guard' is acceptable in Lou of a mask"There was a COVID hot spot breakout just over a week ago with 11 people infected in the town of Fair Haven which is 6 miles north of Poultney.Will NOT return to any business that doesn't take customer safety seriously like this one.EVER.

Long time owners have pride in their food and community service. Excellent pizza and other choices. Eat in or take out. Normally has 2 tables outside during warm weather. Excellent food and service from this family run establishment.

Nothing to write home about. Nice staff, nice crust, but very skimpy toppings (depending on the one(s) you order), unremarkable sauce, and overcooked. In Poultney, options are limited, but if you're nearby, try Ole Hampton House Tavern. It's right down the road.

Poultney House of Pizza has the BEST pizza around! My 5 year old is currently battling leukemia and chemo has changed her taste buds on a lot of things. Poultney pizza has remained her favorite pizza throughout and sometimes has been among the small selection of things she is willing to eat. Thank you PHOP for providing consistently good pizza all these years!

People are friendly and efficient. We've had their; pizza, calzone, subs, and wings. All of the food was delicious and fresh. Prices are also incredibly reasonably. Strongly recommend!

When you live in New York City and Brooklyn, you have access to the finest pizza in the world. Having moved to Vermont when I got married, I was constantly disappointed in the pizza here. At best, it was okay. And then Poultney House of Pizza opened. Excellent pizza. Just like my old home. And the owner is from New York originally....no surprise. ;) Highly recommended. And their heroes are great too.

On a beautiful September day we were enjoying downtown Poultney and stopped in for lunch. Poultney House of Pizza was a very nice friendly place with quite a few menu options. I had a hankering for pizza and my wife chose a Chef Salad. We sat outside to enjoy the afternoon and when our food came out the pizza looked marvelous. I chose a simple Pepperoni Pizza and it was delicious with a great crust and gooey cheese. My wife’s salad was loaded with deli ham and turkey and she thought it was good. Overall a very good place to eat!
