Installers left a horrible mess. Threw excess cables over the bank and left other cables unburied… The installers service guys didn’t care when we asked them to pick it up. Their lines are hanging low and did nothing about it either when asked. Hazard.

We had intermittent service for a while then while we had work done to the house the Internet stopped. We called and asked for help to restore the service. They told us it would likely be a paid call out. What they did not tell us is how much it would cost nor did they tell us their maintaine teams normally do not work on Fridays. They charged us $1200. Yes that’s right more than a years worth of internet service for a 30 minute call out and the workers was there 30 minutes after the call. We are contesting this outrageous fee for half an hours work. We will see how empathetic they are as we are in the process of contesting it. Beware asking for service call outs on Fridays and always asks them how much will the service cost before requesting it. $1200 is ridiculous in rural Vermont.
Update on this situation. After contacting senior managers at EC fiber the situation was resolved. Thank you to those who helped resolve the matter. We appreciate it

The internet service is fine. The customer service is non-existent. I've been trying for 3 days to call and email them because I just want to update my credit card on file. No one picks up the phone and no one replies to emails. Are they going out of business? Who knows? Also, the password reset for the login page is NOT working. What a joke.
Oh, and don't reply to this review with your phone number, that's the number I've been calling non-stop. Just answer your phone!

Great service. They just gave us support over the weekend for an aging router and will come during the week to check further. We have Airbnb guests and onsite classes here so losing internet really stresses us. Didn't have to go through bots or endless phone trees either. We feel lucky to have such a good local internet company.

Excellent Internet service. They have only been down once for me in 4 years, after a particularly rough wind storm. Customer service has always been great. Last issue I had was a dead backup battery, called them, and they had a fresh battery waiting for me at their office within an hour.

Am I the only one noticing the price difference between EC Fiber and Vermont Telephone, not even an hour and a half south of each other???? Non-promotional pricing for both companies is around $70. Vermont Telephone gives you full gig speeds, and EC Fiber thinks giving people 100 Mb per second for the same price is justified. Is there a functional difference between these companies, or does it just seem like highway robbery?

Rude office staff who never returns your phone calls, they share all of your personal information with anyone who asks about your account, they send constant emails about having to shut down service for maintenance, stuck with this company for they are the only people who provide fiber optic internet in this area. Owner doesn’t care about dissatisfied customers, yet want you to promote their business with a yard sign. Don’t do it! Customers beware.

This company gives out your information to people who aren't on your account when trying to collect money. They send u a notice only giving you 24 hours notice of shut off even though your due date isn't for 10 more days!!! The customer reps are rude and shouldn't be in the customer service industry!!!!!

We have been using EC fiber at our home since 2018. It’s pretty much the only WiFi option in the area. We have had no problems until recently.
Our Wi-Fi went out on a Thursday morning, we have no service at our house without WiFi so I had to load up my newborn and drive down the rd to get service to call them. No one picked up so I left a vm and also sent an email. I left home for the rest of the day so I could be in service for when they called me back. I received an email at noon that day saying a technician would get ahold of me that day…. No phone call from anyone. Friday morning still no WiFi, loaded my newborn up again to go get service to call them. The first guy I talked to was very rude and said he would transfer me over to the technician but they could not get anyone to my house today. Talked to tech and said he could have someone out between 1 and 3.
Tech came, was no issue with my equipment and it was their outside line so he couldn’t do anything.
Techs came out Saturday afternoon (both of them were extremely nice) after several hours they had it fixed!
I sent in an email asking if I could get credit for almost the 3 days I was without WiFi especially since it was on
their end. I don’t know how they do not notice a whole line is out on their end. But no email back.
They used to be so good with their customers service but from my recent experience it has gone down hill and that’s not ok with how expensive it is just to have them for WiFi…such a shame, a local business going downhill.

ECFiber delivers excellent service from all perspectives. Beginning with the installation of fiber to my home, they were delightful to work with. The performance of their system is excellent with very consistent bandwidth according to the service level purchased and VERY low latency. Many people don't understand the snappy internet performance is often more a function of low latency versus raw bandwidth; ECFiber delivers. The reliability of their service has been excellent. Typically, their service is running even when we lose power; of course this isn't a guarantee. With their recent announcement of base service level of 100mbs at no additional cost, it's just icing on the cake. Thank you ECFiber!

EC Fiber has been our go-to internet service provider for the past four years, and we couldn't be happier! Their fiber internet is blazing fast, allowing us to stream TV and work from home without any lag or buffering.
What really sets EC Fiber apart is their exceptional customer service. Whenever we've had questions or needed assistance, their team has been incredibly responsive and helpful. They truly go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
One of the best parts? The service is surprisingly affordable for the quality you receive. We feel like we're getting premium internet without breaking the bank.
In our four years with EC Fiber, we've experienced very few issues. The rare times we've had any hiccups, they've been quick to resolve them. The reliability of their service has been impressive.
If you're looking for fast, reliable internet with great customer support at a reasonable price, look no further than EC Fiber. They've exceeded our expectations in every way!

The service is consistent and connection quality stays at 300Mbps up/down. The actual install service left a lot to be desired as the installer just trash talked Xfinity ( I agree they are the worst ) but then he skipped a critical part of the install process which is leaving a sticker on the Modem/Router box that tells us the admin username & password in case we get locked out of the router's web interface. There is no longer any way for ECFiber tech support to remotely access and update the UI admin password. It is a no-name box so there is no manual or part number. So it will unfortunately have to be thrown out and replaced by a professional 3rd party device. The modem and router is also stuck on WPA which is an outdated wireless security mode, WPA2 or 3 is now recommended to have secure wireless. The tech support was fast to respond but dismissive of this as an issue, which is frustrating.

Small operation, high speed internet. Local CUD. Excellent service for a challenging region.
