We passed there during our roadtrip to Lake Willoughby.
It's a small, basic convenience store that also offers meals.
However, the price of the meals was quite expensive (e.g. almost $8 for a hamburger) so since we were unaware of the size of the portions, we went to the Gab Pub for dinner.
There is also a bar behind it as well as a creamery on the side which we did not try.

A convenience store which contains a canteen, a bar, a gift shop, a hunting and fishing shop and a creamery. Well located right in the middle of both ends of the lake. There is a terrace and toilets. I bought a 12-inch sandwich made on site, the price was high ($19 CAD) but it was very good. If you're just passing through the area it's good for a quick purchase but I wouldn't do the grocery shopping there.

We were very disappointed in this store there was very bad customer service, especially by the cashier and also did not get that well treated where you buy sandwiches and wraps We were sad to be treated like that with rude attitude and comments. Sadly, next time we go to Vermont, we will not be stopping by this area. I have heard lots of great reviews, but by the time that we stopped where we disagreed with everybody, I only saw not even a couple of bad reviews, but I am definitely writing one sadly. Food was good but not customer service. I don’t recommend willoughby lake store to you all.

I love this store and having been going there for years. The staff is particularly friendly. Always have a smile or a nice word to say. It is popular and sometimes can have a line, but it is well worth it. Van't say it enough, GREAT STORE!

I am posting a multi year reviewI have been visiting Lake willoughby ever since I was a little kid. Over the course of that time I have watched this store change hands multiple times. The current store owners are by far the best in the 30 years I have been coming up, hands down.Everyone I have spoken to has been nice.Every morning coffee and pastries are stocked and ready.They have a fantastic craft beer selection, a decent wine selection and a nice liquor section. They do breakfast and lunch sandwiches, they have Giffords ice cream that they try to keep in stock. And one of the nicer things they do that other stored didn't was keep a decent clothing selection in their souvenir room. They do a great job trying to tailor to the summer visitors and they also try to take care of their local regulars. They stock fishing supplies, and try to keep in some of the every day needed foods, (like water, milk eggs, snacks) and toiletries.Great place. I hope it stays around for a long time.

Unfortunately I will never visit this store again. It’s a shame because the store itself was cute and had lots of great snack and food options and was conveniently located near the lake but the rude and disrespectful “jokes” of the cashier were unprovoked and unacceptable. We spent close to $100 but looking back we should have walked out without buying a thing after this treatment. Maybe it’s because she knew we were from out of town but if that is how tourists are treated here then I hope they make enough money from locals because I will not be returning on my next visit to the area. Staff could use a lesson in customer service.The area in back of the store was nice with picnic tables to eat at but the trash can was overflowing and surrounded by garbage on the ground and a bathroom other than a latrine for customers would be helpful. Had high hopes for stopping here but will definitely keep on going next time.

Gigi and amanda were amazing. We had the best breakfast sandwiches before setting on a hike and appreciated the inside trail info shared to get us in the right place!!

We're vacationing in this area and decided to try their sub and wrap. We ordered the Tuna Melt and it was the worst tuna we've ever had. No flavor, no onions, celery or salt and pepper. I'm learning that I am an amazing cook, better than most places.

If you forgot your sunscreen on a midsummer day trip to the lake and stop here to pick some up - don’t forget your sunscreen. How does a “lake store” not keep sunscreen in stock in the summertime? Maybe for the same reason the ice cream window was closed. ??♀️

Have been here hundreds of times over the past 25 years. Over the past 2 years, they have gone downhill - FAST. Maple creemee machine is always broken. Employees seem to be angry that they have to wait on you.
