I have had my hair highlighted blonde for many years. After moving to the area last year, I booked an appointment with studio 3*6 to have my roots highlighted blonde. The first hair stylist who colored my hair turned my hair a variety of shades of orange. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and tried her again and she made it even worse. The owner of the salon was gracious enough to fix my hair. I saw her for months after this and she could never get my hair back to the blonde it has been for many years. She was leaving the color on too long and I started having hair fall out in the front and baby hairs fried. My last visit I brought this up to her and she told me that since I didn't want my hair orange she needed to leave the color in longer. She hardly paid attention to my color process on the last visit. When I came in she was in the middle of doing a client's color. Then, she proceeded to do another hair cut while I sat with wet hair in the sink for 40 minutes for a "conditioning treatment." Then, she sat me under a hair dryer while she cut yet another client's hair. I was there for over 3 hours and did not even have time to get my hair cut because I had another appointment. Once again my hair was not the right color and I was told I could come back again in a few days and have it corrected. No thanks.

It usually takes me a few days to like and adjust to my new haircut but I loved my new hair right away after Leah cut it. She is very skilled and pays special attention to hair texture, natural shape and flow, which is important to me since I don't have a ton of time to style my hair every morning. Overall, super happy with Studio 3.6, thank you, Leah!!!

Leah has been amazing in helping me achieve the blonde I’ve been looking for over the last year and a half. I’ve been in and out of the country so my schedule has certainly made her job difficult in terms of giving me what I want as quick as possible. I’d suggest arriving to your appointment at least 5 minutes early because the place is hard to find and if you are literally 1 minute late Leah might charge you a cancellation fee in the event that you decide you don’t want to put up with mistreatment and sit at the chopping block of a stylist who not only has a rude and extremely unprofessional demeanor, but also doesn’t know what curl pattern is. Not putting up with her **** is worth more to me than the 25 dollars she charged my card as payback for having dignity. Also I hear this place is notorious around cville and is jokingly referred to as studio 3.6 mafia ?

Leah is the only stylist I’ve seen since I moved to Charlottesville four and a half years ago, and she’s absolutely amazing. I think my hair looks better than it ever has, and I’m into my second half-century!The secret to exceptional service is to know what you want before you go. The better you articulate the look you want, the more likely Leah can achieve it for you. I’m very happy with my hair style. Leah is the best!

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here!Leah has saved my hair more than once, from bad coloring experiences to when I decided I could cut my own hair. She did so without judgement or shaming. She’s also so knowledgeable about which product to use at home and how to make my color last.She works fast, so you’re not in there all day, but she is meticulous. Her prices are quite reasonable and she will squeeze you in in case of emergency.I saw Leah today for a haircut and five different people complimented me throughout the day afterwards. Salon 3.6 is the best! I’ve had several cuts and colors there by Marissa and Leah, but from what I can tell you can’t go wrong with any of the stylists! I love the process from start to finish; they give thoughtful consultations beforehand and I always appreciate their advice. I’m pretty picky about my color—I like reds that are interesting but still natural looking—and I always adore the final look they give me. I usually run errands immediately after my cut and color and, without fail, I get unprompted compliments from strangers!Services: Haircut

I’ve been going to Leah since she was at a different salon and have followed her ever since (almost 4 years). Her coloring skills are amazing, I started with balayage and have done highlights ever since. The color is always perfect, she does a great and professional job. The one time I did it absolutely love my root coloring she immediately brought me in to fix it. The Salon is nice and comfortable as well. I've been going to this salon for several months now and travel 2 hours each direction because I prefer going here so much. Marissa and her team mates never sease to amaze with their professionalism and level of skill. Marissa took me from long roots and fading purple to a vibrantly recolored queen. The experience always makes the drive worth it and i never leave less than 100 percent happy

Leah is incredibly talented, creative, professional. Plus, she is very personable, and fun. I felt very comfortable with her and got an awesome short hair cut where she layered my hair beautifully. Leah pays attention to what you want, asks lovely questions and truly cares. What a pleasure to get a cut from her!

I’m really disappointed by my experience here at Studio 3.6. I went to get my roots bleached and after three hours, I’m brassy yellow and dried out, and very very frustrated.I called the salon to make sure they could work on my hair ahead of time, I told my hairdresser how my hair reacts to bleach, and still my hair is a complete mess. I’m embarrassed to walk around town.Not only is the bleach job completely botched, but my hairdresser used a heat and a comb on my fragile, heavily bleached hair. My ends are frayed and I have the texture of straw. This was the biggest waste of money I’ve had in a minute and I’m definitely going to go back to just bleached my hair myself.Their service is nice and the employees seem like kind people, but be careful coming here if you want light hair, they just can’t deliver.
