We bought more than one fireplace from Acme Fairfax. We visited many places before making a decision. Mike Joseph was beyond helpful. He was extremely knowledgeable, meticulous and very attentive. I recently became a customer of Acme stove and they were beyond helpful and informative guiding me through purchasing a new wood burning fireplace insert to replace my worn out wood stove. I did my homework before coming into the store but Mike walked me through all of my options, helped me choose the right fireplace insert for me, and gave me all of the information I needed to make a smart buying decision. The price for the insert I purchased was exceptional and I have no doubt I will be a customer for life. If you're looking for a new fireplace or wood stove, I highly recommend Acme Stove Co. in Fairfax!

Arranged a service call for a gas fireplace with a pilot that wouldn't stay lit and whatever overall inspection and maintenance might be needed. Charge was $365 and about all that was done was brush off the logs and tell me I needed a new thermocouple. Estimate for the thermocouple included the cost of the part, weighing less than a pound, with a $45 "freight" charge, plus $225 for installation. Altogether, these folks wanted $715 for what essentially was replacement of the pilot light assembly, a fairly simple job. Service technician seemed capable enough, but the pricing was exorbitant for the service needed.

I drove to the Fairfax store with questions about my gas fireplace insert, which i did not purchase from Acme Stove Company. Kevin Martinez was wonderful. He helped me diagnose the problem and worked with me to get it resolved. I appreciate his professionalism and outstanding customer service. He saved me a lot of time and money.

Mike and Tony went above and beyond, from educating us on different products to giving advice on self installation. We went in knowing little to nothing about firestoves and these guys were able to help get us up to speed. If you’re looking for a great product and great customer service - this is the place you want to go.

I recently had a great experience working with Mike, a true craftsman at his job. I needed a new fireplace surround, and he guided me through the various choices, offering pros and cons of different models. When my order arrived, it hadn’t been packaged properly, and parts were loose/bent (not visible from outside the fireplace though) Rather than send it back and reorder (which would add who knows how long to the project), Mike worked for hours on the installation to make it work. The finished surround looks beautiful, no one would ever know it didn’t arrive in perfect condition. And for his dedication, poor Mike was rewarded with a long drive home at midnight on a cold and rainy night!

This place is great. We just bought a new grill; Mike offered great customer service, was extremely helpful, and delivered our amazing grill care with care. Would highly recommend ACME stove if you need a new heating stove, fireplace / insert, accessories, or even a grill.The negative reviews on google do not add up and honestly do not seem fair given how great our experience was. Yes, this place gets busy, and you may have to wait until one of the sales representatives are free. Honestly, that’s a good sign that this place is reputable especially given we had to wait for a repeat customer who was buying another fireplace to finish up and they had nothing but good things to say on their way out. Both Mike and the other rep (Tom?) were extremely nice to the customers when we were there. A few other negative reviews do not even appear to be related to ACME Stove.

Acme is "old school" retail at its best. Tony knows his stuff. My Lopi wood burning insert is fantastic and exceeds my expectations. The installation was first rate. I would highly recommend working with Tony. From start to finish a job well done.
