A little background about me…
I moved to NoVa about two years ago and needed to find a hairdresser as fast as possible. I had been having my hair dyed purple for many years and it needed a touch-up!

Had a really disappointing experience here. I was in town for a meeting and decided to give somewhere new a try as I needed my front pieces touched up (last photo is what they looked like prior to for ref).
After 2 hours, I was left with the harsh yellow tone in the first photo. It was drastically different from my existing blonde, but I was in a hurry and already had been there longer than I expected considering I went in to get two tiny pieces of hair done. My stylist did my hair completely straight (didn’t ask how I wanted it styled), and I have extensions that I mentioned to her are quite grown out, so I wanted a bit of wave to blend them. I asked her if she could add some volume/style it so it blended, and she passed me to another stylist.
I then sat in this stylist’s chair for at least an hour as she (curled?) my hair with a flat iron with no heat protectant (?). The second photo is how my hair looked in my car after the salon. I genuinely didn’t even know it was possible for hair to be styled this poorly lol.
At this point you may be wondering why I paid for this service and left like this. It had been nearly four hours since I got to the salon, and I had a full day of work to do. I hesitantly paid and tipped, then went to my car to evaluate how bad it actually was. After multiple people confirmed it was, indeed, that bad, I gave the salon a call and requested a partial (!!) refund. I live 2 hours from this place, so couldn’t have gone back to have it fixed, nor would I have.
The receptionist said they do not provide refunds. I requested an exception to policy since I was going to have to go home and box dye my hair and pay someone to style it normally. She said she would “ask the owners,” and call me back by 10 AM at the latest today (spoiler alert, she didn’t). I ended up having to follow up with her, and she let me know that the owners declined a partial refund.
I don’t know much about running a business, but if a client received this service after spending $140 ($220 if you include the purple shampoo, box dye, and re-style) and wasting nearly 4 hours of their life, I would probably make an exception to policy.
I’m sure people have had different experiences here, but if you’re coming here on a whim for literally any service, I would 100% consider another salon in the Fredericksburg area. Aside from their policy, the quality of service here is not good.

I have been coming here for a year now for highlights and cuts. Everyone has been great. Yesterday I had Rebecca and today I’ve had more compliments on my hair than I ever have in my life!Very competitive pricing and nice environment. Highly recommend.

I love this hair salon in historic Fredericksburg! First time was this week and Rebecca did a wonderful job getting my hair beautiful with fresh highlights for spring! Nice staff and a relaxing atmosphere.

First time I've been to a salon in almost a decade. After many months of consideration I planned to get a really drastic haircut. Hannah was super nice and did an amazing job. Fr my self confidence is so high because my hair is so fancy. I was so afraid I'd regret cutting so much off, but she did such a good job. The place was clean and it smelled nice. And the lady at the desk was nice too.

My wife was a bit nervous going here for the first time. Miss Rose was the one who took care of her. She was extremely nice and really took care of my wife. Her hair came out just the way she wanted it. The establishment was great and all staff were very friendly. My wife is thrilled with her hair. Would definitely recommend them to any one.

when I couldn't get in at my regular salon I looked up local salons and found this one. The reviews online seemed promising and it seemed like a high end salon. After vising I do not believe this to be true. When I made the appointment over the phone I explained what I wanted done, thinking they would allot the proper amount of time. Someone walked in during my appointment and was waiting for a while, turned out she was my hairdresser's next client. I gave photos of what I was looking for and what I really didn't want for reference. I left without liking either my cut or the color. I called that night to try and fix the problem but they were closed. I went in the next day to get it either fixed the way I had asked or for a refund. I would have been happy to let them fix it- they were booked and were not willing to refund. The salon gave the stylist my number and she was very defensive. I wasn't trying to offend anyone, I was trying to get what I paid for. After some back and forth they offered a partial refund which was the best they could do. I had to go to another salon and pay full price again to have them fix my hair. Spending over $250 dollars and not liking either the cut or color is not reasonable for a place that guises itself as a high end salon. If they had fixed the issue I would not have left this review but I wish I had seen a review like this before I made an appointment.Services: Hairstyling

First and foremost my hair stylist Cara is amazing! I went in on 6/12/21 and wanted my blonde highlights to be brighter and of course she nailed it! May not sound complicated to most but I can be a picky client and I love she always tells it to me straight when I want to try something new. I always have photos.For the salon itself is alway neat and clean. I do however wish they’d bring the wine back as I enjoy a glass while my hair is processing.
