I was traveling home and thought I would stop in Fredericksburg and try out the local thrift stores...this was my 1st stop...highly dissapointed...mainly bc I encountered at least 3 employees and not one spoke, said hello, made eye contact...nada!!! I picked up an item to buy but politely put it back and left...I suppose my money wasn't wanted!

How entitled people can complain about a charity business that rescues animals is beyond me. I bring all our donations here and find amazing things to buy, too. The staff are always patient and kind - many are volunteers. Their compassion for animals - and people- is admirable. Go there with a generous and kind heart, and don’t complain if they don’t kiss your feet.

Visiting the area for the weekend and had much anticipation to visit this thrift store after seeing the reviews. Well, I arrived at 3:10 pm, and to my dismay the doors were locked. I called only to reach a voice mail. Per Google they are open on Saturday's and close at 5pm. I arrived with plenty of time to spare before they close. A white vehicle rolled by the driveway with a woman shouting that they were close early due to the holiday. Drove all the way out here for nothing. There wasn't even a sign on the door making mention about this early closure. Businesses that close on a whim as they desire without upholding their regular hours of operation, shouldn't be in business, period. Have some respect and consideration for the customers that might come a long way only to check out the place and probably walk out with some purchases, as opposed to closing early just because you felt like. This is a retail store, not an office. Absolutely ridiculous to say the last.

Stopped here with my sister after having breakfast one morning. Large place with okay items (mostly junk). I won't be back though. I asked for a bathroom and was told by a burley man w/gray hair that I could go down the street to Sheetz. C'mon now, that large place doesn't have a restroom? ? So I responded "No, thank you" and walked away. That same male who told me about the bathroom rang my sister up, thanked her for her purchase and told her to have a nice day. He then rang me up, told me my total, handed me my card and that was it. I thanked him and said "Have a nice day"...no response. Apparently he didn't like my response to him telling me I could go to a different establishment to use the restroom. Either way, I won't be back. I don't feel welcome. ✌?

I was visiting from out of town and thrifting to kill some time this morning. I read the reviews about this place and they were right! Best thrift in town. So many fun treasures to find. Opening at 9am is a plus too.

re-tail has always been one of my favorite places to shop since i was a kid. they have so many nice items stemming from trinkets, to clothes. the staff has also been very kind and welcoming each time. they have a purpose for the store, and it helps a no kill animal shelter. I always love shopping here knowing that my money is going back towards something beneficial, and always leaving with something new, and cool. re-tail is also very active on social media (facebook) which helps to see what new items they have in stock. Everything about this store i absolutely love, it's perfect for animal lovers and thrifters.
