I booked the Signature Cut with relaxing Shampoo + Conditioner with Naomi (Master Designer I, 38) and unfortunately, it was very disappointing. She seemed rushed and finished my haircut in about 10 minutes without paying attention to details. While I thought she was still in the middle of the process, she said she was already done — leaving my haircut uneven and messy.
The service description clearly states “Signature Cut with relaxing Shampoo + Conditioner,” so I expected that step along with proper finishing touches and checks. Instead, none of that happened. I don’t mind if a haircut is quick, but it should still be done carefully and professionally.

Appointments are meaningless at the Franklin Farm (Herndon, VA) location. Inspite of an appointment and one hair dresser being free, they accepted walk-ins before me. There was another lady who had been waiting for 40 mins with an appointment. Neither of us had selected a specific hairdresser… first availanle

I had an appointment at 2:45pm. I came a few minutes early and waited for over 40 minutes and still no one took me back. Multiple other appointments and walk ins were taken back. When I inquired about it, they told me that they did not have time to take me back. How can you not have time for a prebooked appointment?? That does not make sense. They said they might be able to take me if I wanted to be patient and wait at least 10 minutes more. Waiting 40 minutes is plenty of patience

Had an appointment wit MY for hair cut. She was very polite and patient and asked me the way I wanted it and patiently listened to me and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. Hats off to her efforts and skills and understanding the client!!!

Came in at the last minute on a Sunday to get a haircut and a nice lady walked me in and took care of my hair. I mentioned to her that I had a 15% coupon but she told me they wouldn’t take it apparently because the coupon is good for services only Monday thru Friday, kinda bummed about that but my hair did turn out nice and so I will probably go back.

Update, gave another try. The stylists were very attentive, polite, expedient, and I had a much better experience.
Older review: Had an appointment booked for a child a few days in advance. In the middle of drying hair they left the child in a chair with half dried hair and up in clips for 15 minutes while attending someone else. Then another worker had to go remind the stylist that she had a client still waiting. Ridiculous they could have finished and let us go, looks like they frequently overbook. In the end they did a great job, but it ppears customer service is lacking.

I have been going to this salon for years. I have always asked for Lahn, one of their more senior hair stylists. During my last visit, while getting my hair colored and cut, I had to endure her political rants about the democratic party. She said that Biden was a communist because he spent so much time in China. She commented that democrats can't be trusted. With tip, I paid over $150 to be propagandized by Lahn. You are a captive audience, trapped in a chair, having to listen to this political rhetoric. I am not going back.

I have been used (Mi or My) service over 15 years! She is professional. patient with their customers, good control also good with time management! She always stay focused never sloppy or rush while working! I am so glad she is still working some neighborhood after pandemic, I am highly recommend her as your hair designer.

This is a very nice shop.My stylist,Thao was incredible.She gave me what I wanted and more.She is also nice to deal with and listens to what you want,and I was a walk in,would definite recomend this whole shop and Thao,the shopping center has alot also,off 28

I am extremely disappointed with the service at Hair Cuttery. I called ahead to confirm availability and was told they were available for haircuts. I rushed over within ten minutes, only to be informed upon arrival that they wouldn’t be available for the next three hours. This complete lack of organization and respect for customers’ time is unacceptable. I wasted my time and energy for nothing. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to avoid this unprofessional establishment

Booked with Naomi-asked for a half inch off on the longest parts with long layers. She took off about two inches on the longest parts, and the layers are much shorter than I expected too. I was disappointed. My friends like it and say it is cute, but I have wavy hair, especially when it is short. Now I have to wear it wavy. I'm hoping it grows out quickly.
She was very sweet, and we had great conversation.

I had a fantastic experience this week with Naiomi! I went to see her for a balayage, and, as per all of the other amazing reviewers said, she worked her magic! My hair did a total transformation. It is the perfect transformation for my date weekend and I’m really grateful to have found such a talented stylist. Will definitely be back!

I had my first haircut with Minty about six weeks ago. My hair is short and the cut was decent. Last week, I went in for a specific haircut and showed Minty a photo of what I wanted. What I wanted and what I received were two different things and I don't know what to do about it. It's cut down badly on the left side, I'll have to wait to grow it out again. The problem was that Mindy had another client waiting and she rushed me Please notice the line below is not my line. It is a default sentence.

Very personable for 1st time meeting.
She asked me step by step as she was doing my hair if everything was going as expected which was a very big “plus” so as to not complete the cut & then have to try & fix any mistakes if needed. I 100% recommend her & especially if you’re new to her to get the job done RIGHT the 1st time!
