I had an issue with the tread on my AC condenser fan blade and couldn’t find a replacement anywhere. I stopped by Action Machining, and Jeff was incredibly helpful. He fixed the problem in about 15 minutes, and I was able to reinstall the fan blade back into my unit without any issues.
Jeff is not only very skilled but also extremely nice, with a cool shop that shows his passion for what he does. His kind personality really stood out, and the price for the repair was very reasonable. I’m truly impressed and grateful—highly recommend Action Machining!

Excellent service on short notice. Had to get a wrench milled down to fit a narrow space. He did it fast and was reasonable in price. Nice guy and pleasure to deal with. Will come back if I have small hard to do projects or repairs.

Jeff is very knowledgeable and expert at his stuff. My front timing cover needed some touch and repair around crank seal and he wrapped it up in less than 10 minutes. His cost was also very very reasonable. I recommend him for all your machining related needs.

Dropped off flywheel to be resurfaced at 3pm on a Friday, had it ready for me to pick up at closing time. Price was fair.

Needed a few brass sensors machined down from 1/2npt to 3/8npt in order to fit my vehicle’s new engine. Jeff did a great job of milling and rethreading the sensors. Installed in vehicle perfectly - no leaks! Now the 54 year old factory gauges work correctly just as they did before. Great work Jeff!

If you are in need of a skilled machinist, go see Jeff at Action Machining. I had a little titanium knuckle duster I needed a lanyard hole added to. I got a lot of run-around from other shops about how they're backed up and some told me "not just anyone can machine titanium you need specialty tools." Finally landed at Action Machining in lorton. Spoke to jeff over the phone he told me come on down. I showed up and explained what i wanted he took me back into his shop, chucked the thing in a mill and machined a perfect counter sunk lanyard hole for me in about 5 minutes. Obvioualy this was more of a show piece than something for work but he took care not to mar the finish or scratch it, he was careful clearing shavings away and it came out great. Im super happy with it, cant recomend this place enough.

I purchased a chandelier with two down rods (stems), they were 24 inches and they were too long. I asked Jeff to cut them down to 12 inches each and thread the instead. He was fast, proficient and affordable

I can't recommend Jeff at Action Machining enough. He is a genuinely nice guy, and an absolute expert at his trade. I was turned away and given a hard time at a few other machine shops in the area, and was just made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. Jeff was beyond helpful and even better, had it completed very quickly. If you're reading this review, don't even go to anyone else in the area. Just go see Jeff, he will win you over by just talking to him. This trade is an art form, and there are not many people like Jeff left. I'll definitely be back in the future.Thank you, Jeff for your great work.

If you go anywhere else in Northern Virginia you are wasting your time and money. I took a chance on using his services and I am so happy I visited this shop. The attention to detail is outstanding and turn around time is the best I have experienced in this area. FYI, I fired six different machinists before I found this business, so I know what I am talking about. Jeff has earned my business for sure.
