The gym is fine. But my complaint is that people will sit at a piece of equipment on their phone for long periods of time. Also why do so many of the younger crowd carry back packs around rather than use a locker or leave them in their car. Should I just walk over to them and ask them to get up or just stand there and start looking at my watch.

I'm in town temporarily for work and chose this gym because it's close to my apartment. Big mistake. While the facility and equipment are actually pretty good, the environment is absolutely terrible.
If you're someone who likes to come in, focus on your workout, and leave — don't waste your time here. This place is more of a social hangout than a gym. People stand around talking, taking up space and equipment, with zero gym etiquette. Some people are very disrespectful as well and will pretend you don’t exist and taunt you while you’re waiting for equipment to open up or intentionally getting in your path when walking to get dumbbells. If you're serious about fitness, expect to be treated like you’re the problem.
To make matters worse, I was threatened with violence by another member. I reported the incident, and new management did absolutely nothing. Not even after a conversation. Apparently, if someone harasses or threatens you, you're expected to just deal with it — especially if you're fit and not part of the little social clique that runs the place.
And yes, there is definitely a judgmental, self-righteous culture here that seems to take pride in it. I was targeted for how I dressed and what I represent by some hostile members — all because I don't fit their preferred narrative. The new manager was accusatory, dismissive, and completely unwilling to hear my side. Instead, he played mental gymnastics to make it seem like I was the issue. Totally unprofessional and spineless. I was also told to “Figure it out.” about my refund in a very disrespectful and snarky manner. I will be reporting this to the corporate office.
Bottom line: this gym might have decent equipment, but the toxic, petty, and frankly hostile culture makes it not worth your time. If you value respect, safety, and a focused workout environment — steer clear. Horrible, disgusting experience.

Good customer service and parking wasn’t bad but location is somewhat small for the are and doesn’t offer much to be desired. Massage chair has glitches and only one. Locker room and bathroom was clean but I felt like if they knocked down a wall, I would have given them a better review. Also, there is a sign threatening to suspend or terminate membership if you don’t rerack equipment. I don’t like the threat. A reminder is one thing as most understand the courtesy but a threat doesn’t feel good to see at a place where you pay membership fees

Wasn’t expecting to much from pics online, also I’m Not 100% familiar with the staff here at swift creek golds but one of the front desk employees Sazo made every thing so simple and not a hassle what so ever! I definitely will be switching gyms no more nonsense! Golds gym swift creek is the place to be! Thank you Sazo

There is something about that particular Gold's Gym. It's not just the crowd, but a large percentage of the members are serious about their workouts and willing to help or spot others. I travel 25 minutes to this gym because of that and also the variety of weight machines they offer. 👍

This is the best gym I’ve ever been too. The front desk workers are my homies. Get shredded.

It's a good gym with a variety of equipment, machines and free weights. No classes or other amenities, but a solid gym that's usually not too crowded before 8 am. Equipment is out of service often, but gets fixed within a few days. The only real complaint is that the staff likes to play right-wing news on the TVs - I channel that vitriol into my workout.

They definitely need a new hip thrust machine. The ones with an arched back pad are much more comfortable, I have bruises on my hips from the strap on this one. Least they could do is include a small yoga mat to pad you better.
Slightly unclean which is why I took away a star. Other than that, they have all the machines you would need!

As a former competitive powerlifter and an upcoming competitive bodybuilder, this gym definitely has its pros and cons. Let’s start with equipment. For the most part, it’s very solid. Good selection of Amazing plate loaded machines, dumbbells up to 150, cables, and an entire area dedicated to legs. As far as pin loaded traditional machines go, some of them aren’t my favorite. Many of the machines are are made to rock back and fourth as you rep out, and I personally find that annoying and distracting. As far as powerlifting goes, it’s great. Great Ohio power bars and deadlift bars, deadlift platforms, and an ER combo rack with plenty of other basic power racks. Staff has always been great to me, and 24/7 access is very nice. Now the community and people who attend are a whole different story. From about 10 am to 11pm daily, the crowd is insane. As someone who takes training seriously, it is often difficult to focus and train to the best of your ability due to the crowd and the type of people who are in the gym. For the most part, I struggle to find people at this gym who take genuine pride in training and being the best you can be, but they are rather there to socialize and take up space, break machines, leave weights everywhere, etc. for the quality of the gym equipment and the somewhat old school feel it has, it’s very upsetting to see the result of the general community at the gym. All in all, if you are someone that just wants to get a workout in and be basically fit and healthy in life, maybe go to socialize with friends, you will fit right in with everyone here. If you are a competitive bodybuilder, powerlifter, or want to take training remotely serious and have a place to go and lock in, you will begin to rethink your decision to attend this gym. If this is you, coming past 11 pm is your only hope for serious uninterrupted training. If you are new to the area, the gym is located directly in the middle of 3 high school districts, so a good majority of its members are high school kids who go to hangout after school. This gym definitely has its advantages, but the crowd and community is definitely a huge issue. If you are serious about training and what to take pride in the gym you are apart of, this gym unfortunately will not deliver.

Plenty of cardio equipment and a nice clean gym. A great place to get a good workout in including cardio, weights and machines.

The machines and weights are far below my advanced level, and there were too many geezers and chubbies for my liking.
