The customer service at this institution, which used to be outstanding, has taken a real nosedive. Hours long hold times, no one picking up the phone, transfers to dead end lines. The final straw has been unilateral cancelling of all my automatic bill payments without any prior warning, notice or explanation. If I hadn't happened to go online, I would have been exposed to hundreds of dollars in penalties, not to mention having my credit history ruined. As a long time member since the 1990s, I'm very disappointed in CFCU.

Deposited some summer funds into the kiddos savings account at our Congressional Federal Credit Union. Love their Saturday hours due to Monday thru Friday office hours aren’t conducive to my schedule. The staff were friendly and courteous throughout the entire process. Would recommend membership at a credit union for anyone looking to change or add an account for themselves or their kids. Enjoy!

horrible to ridiculous to brutal customer service.....hours waiting on the phone without anyone picking up. i have a large amount of money here and will be moving monies,,.,,,, as soon as i can. they used to be incredibly customer focused but recently there is nobody picking up the phone at CFCU no matter what number you hit. When the phone application is asking for account numbers they don't recognise any of the ones I have entered and I have more then a couple. I have been with CFCU for over 26 years and this is the end for me.

Ridiculous hold times, 25 minutes and longer! Always excuses as to why and thats all it is an excuse. Fully staffed at all locations but no one can answer the phone. Even emails are taking days to get a response. Do not bank here if you want a quick response over the phone or email. I plan to file a complaint as this is totally unacceptable.

Low rates, lousy customer service, half hour wait times to get a customer service agent on the phone, a website and online banking services that must be a decade old, and newly imposed fees to pay for new services no one wants or needs. Take your banking anyplace else. I am pulling our accounts.

For over a week I can not get ahold of ANYONE! I can not log into my account to do my banking and have tried every number and they all lead back to the same line. After 45mins for tech support you get forwarded to a system that goes nowhere. If I tried other options and get hung up on after waiting 25mins on hold. I even yried calling direct lines to the Ford building location where I used to work. Been a customer for 20 years and you assholes are making me look for another bank. Wtf? I am stupid pissed off with this issue. Someone please reach back out to me. At the very least I need to close my account with you guys... assuming anyone still works there. Next step for me is Consumer Financial Protection Bureau I guess

Horrible bank. I filed a dispute for a counterfeit item and they botched the process and I got stuck with a $500+ charge. Will never give this bank another cent of my money.

Up until today my experiences with them have been pretty good and I have been a member for several years now. But today was definitely a disappointment. I wanted to speak to someone about paying off my car loan. I stayed on hold for 40 minutes and no one ever answered. I called back and clicked another department hoping to finally speak to someone. An agent answered, but she told me that she would have to transfer me to a "loan agent". And again I was on hold until I finally gave up. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. What it there was an emergency!?? Where are your tellers? Apparently I will have to go directly to the branch to handle my business. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I will be settling my accounts and leaving this institution ASAP!

Awful and worst customer service experience ever!On March 31, I went in as a new customer because the account I have is a shared bank and Congressional Federal credit Union is the closest one to me.However, as the teller, Maria did the cashier’s check, she incorrectly spelled the company name. When she went to correct the check; on the system she voided the check but couldn’t reissue a check because she selected the wrong button that locked the account.In addition, she told me to call the shared bank because my account wasn’t reflecting the money and need the shared bank to unlock my account. However, the shared bank stated they couldn’t do nothing until Monday for the money to reflect on the account and the teller should’ve known not to select void check; mind you I was urgently in need of the check that same day!

December of 2021, Lisa gave me some of the worst member service I've ever experienced when I applied for a loan. It was so bad I can't forget the experience.

They are super duper slow. It took 5 minutes to print out a receipt and 20 for a withdrawal. Not recommended

They're rude disrespectful unhelping is making them do the paperwork over and over again I've been with the credit union for 30 years in the past couple years have been horrendous! Lock me out my account cuz somebody else wrote me a bad check! It's been almost 10 days by the end of today! 5tg time having me locked out on weekends so the offices are closed. Plus, nothing else will be done for days later.
