We had a wonderful stay at the Ragland Mansion. Claudia was so welcoming and kind. The residence itself is so full of history and our breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back!

A very well appointed and first-rate B&B in a beautiful restored mansion in the slightly run down but still pleasant historic homes section of Petersburg. We stayed in the lovely and dog friendly Library Room on the main floor, so it was very convenient for us to take our furry friend for a walk. The owner, Claudia, was very kind and gave us great advice about sights in the region and places to eat, and even sent us home with a basket of fresh figs from her garden. Good breakfast as well. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the big rooms with an enormous bathroom and old fashioned tub. Breakfast was delicious.

This B&B is beautiful. Huge rooms and beautiful furniture. Bathroom was spotless. Claudia is a very kind and gracious host. It seems to be in a central location, I'm not super familiar with the area. The included breakfast was very good.

Lori and I arrived as strangers, and left feeling like old friends.
Claudia was the perfect host, not obtrusive but kind and caring. It felt like we had gone back in time to a kinder and gentler era. We were there to say goodbye to a very dear friend, and Claudia eased the pain of the trip.
The service was impeccable, the food a delight to the eyes and the palate, and the hospitality excellent.
Truly a 5 star stay at 3 star prices.
It is on our list fora place to stay again when possible.

Claudia is an absolute angel. She's so sweet, accommodating, friendly, and personable. The mansion is in itself an antique and beautiful. This is a unique place to stay filled with history and quaint touches. If you aren't into that, keep looking. If you are? You'll love it here.

Cool restored historic home near downtown Petersburg, with a great hot breakfast at a very low price. We enjoyed our spacious room and getting treats from the homemade ice cream and crepe shop a few blocks away

Great place to stay! Claudia is a great host. Listening to some of the struggles renovating a historic building and learning about the different details was very interesting. Breakfast was great, the room was awesome and very neat and clean. We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful! Claudia was, kind, helpful, and takes amazing care of the place. It was easy to find and the mansion is beautiful. Well worth the price, and the breakfast was wonderful. We would love to stay again if we are in the area. It's only 30 mins from Richmond airport!

It was a fantastic experience all together! My husband and I spent the first night of our honeymoon here, the owner was sweet and kind. We showed very late to the reservation, she still happily took our reservation.
The house was beautiful inside and so was our room.
The breakfast was fantastic!

would highly recommend to anyone, pet friendly room and super accommodating breakfast room for us and our dog, + breakfast was delicious, near 95 if traveling thru and worlds better than staying at chain hotel, located in historic and interesting neighborhood

We’ve stayed at the Ragland Mansion twice. It is fantastic. The rooms are large, spotless and comfortable. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a great value and includes parking. It’s an easy on and off from I- 95 and I-85. The breakfast is delicious. We highly recommend staying at this unique historic and beautiful property.

i would give this bed/breakfast a 6 out of 5 if possible. it was a wonderful experience. the house was stunning and the bedrooms were beautiful and very comfortable. the service was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. you are safe and the parking is secure and right behind house. petersburg and the ragland mansion were both a serendipitous experience.
