Chesterfield Apartments is an old building with a character and architecture that many find attractive. Maintenance is quick and helpful, and the freight elevator is monitored to accommodate residents when the main elevator is down. The landlord is understanding and caring, keeping tenants updated on elevator schedules and building news. Apartments are spacious and beautiful, with no mice or bugs reported by residents who keep their spaces clean. The location is perfect for VCU students, offering in‑building laundry and utilities included. However, the building is over‑priced and offers limited living space; most apartments have no living room or central area and kitchens are small, making it hard to host friends. There is no parking, and bugs can be an issue if a roommate is not clean. Move‑in is fast, but the elevator is constantly breaking.
I recently moved to Chesterfield Apartment. I want to say thank you to Property Manager Karen. She is amazing. Maintenance staffs are beyond my expectation, too. Everyone from Chesterfield Apartment has been professional and are doing outstanding work. Thank you!

Apartments are great and all of the staff is very friendly and helpful! Great location for VCU students.
