Good store just always long lines

I try not to go into this store unless I absolutely have to. Its the closet store to my house so I go for convenience, I made a quick trip to the store today to grab some last minute things for dinner. As I'm waiting in line a tall lady in a striped shirt approached me and asked me if some kids down the isle were stealing, I told her I was not sure and that I did not know them. As I'm ringing my items at self check-out the same lady who apparently works there (she was not in uniform, so I thought she was just another customer) she approached me and accused me of putting items into my bag without ringing them. After I said I was not stealing, I rang all of my items. She proceeded to say it was none of her business and then pointed to the camera and told me it can see me. This lady was rude. To make those kind of accusations is crazy. Had she been doing her job correctly, she would have noticed that i rang everything up, or at least gone about it in a different way! I grabbed my stuff and left, this didn't sit right with me so I called the store and spoke to the person at customer service. They claim that they will speak to her about it, but I know they didn't take it serious. They laughed the whole time we were on the phone. The standards of the store are already low, they should really do better when it comes to hiring people with better customers service.

Always a broken self check
Produce sometimes be spoiled
Customer service never be open when u come in and the staff be talking or ringing you up while on there phones
Lets see what else neva any carts in the store because know one is willing to being them in and prices can be cheaper if u ask me i rather take the trip to kroger than come here

Garbage customer service.
Told me to wait for 15-20 mins because "customer service" is closed for a certain amount time.... like excuse me that is the one thing that should never be "closed" I'm sorry if you don't have competent people to run customer service that is your problem an you should fix that. DO YOUR JOB

This food lion was nice and clean and the employees was nice and considerate to there shoppers the lines where long but they got them down faster than any other food lion i went to so this store gets 5 stars from me so next time your ob jahnke road visit this food lion trust me you will love there service and hospitality and the employees there.

I like to give people grace but the customer service here is horrendous. I barely go here because of the bad vibe the lady with the red hair gives off its terrible. I went in today with my daughter needing a money order and they had it closed down due to a shortage in staff. I asked the lady and it just seems as if I was getting on her nerves asking her if anybody can do it and when will it open up. I guess she was going on break and I was bothering her but she didnt have to have an attitude she was more worried about her co worker and her co workers lunch than answering my question. They dont have to worry about me coming in there but if youre in the customer service business you need to be kinder to people because you dont know what people are going through.

EXTREMELY RUDE......ESPECIALLY THAT REDHEAD THAT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT BUT IT IS MAYBE TWO EMPLOYEES THAT "BEEN" WORKING THERE OFF AND ON FOR A WHILE THAT IS TRULY RESPECTFUL AND PLEASANT BUT OVERALL THAT STORE IS TRULY VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND EXTREMELY RUDE

If I could leave no stars and still leave a comment I would! This store is absolutely pathetic. Went in one day heard a lady saying that she’s already received a complaint and she don’t care. I’m pretty sure she’s a manager at that so I went in. I normally always go here in every encounter I’ve had with the same redheaded lady has been awful. She is rude and unprofessional. I go to buy charcoal for Mother’s Day- they have two supposed sales a twin pack for 16.99 and a single supposed to be on sale for 10.99 sign on it . So I buy it and she’s rude when going to check out I leave and don’t pay attention to my receipt when I get going down the road I look at my receipt and see that the charcoal is not on sale on my receipt so I go to return it and get the twin pack when I go in I go back to her with the receipt I tell her this is supposed to be on sale there is a sign on it her response is I don’t know I don’t put up the signs … Umh? Excuse me you’re a manager and that’s false advertising. So anyways I say I want a refund keep in mind I have the receipt which means I should be able to get cash right? Nope she rudely says do u have the card you paid with I said yes stick it in - ok I did - so I’m waiting for the refund to hit n it does I then ask when will i receive the refund she says in two to three business days. Umh okay why wouldn’t u tell me that before refunding me or give me the option of cash or back on my card. Or just inform me it will take 2-3 business days. I don’t know her name she wasn’t wearing a name tag but her cashier number is on the receipt and is #0126 . Like the sign should not be up if it isn’t on sale and on top of that the issue should of been immediately fixed or the item should of been sold for the price listed . I don’t even want to go back to this store because of her. Obviously the managers & general managers do not care about their regular customers or about their service. Yall need to do better get rid of the red head who clearly don’t care about her job or how she treats the customers. This store is absolutely terrible I will be trying to avoid at all cost anymore. Fyi go here weekly only redhead I’ve ever seen there and has had the red hair since I been going there .

The food lion store on Jahkne Rd has some of the most rude and unprofessional staff working there. Talking on their phones while attending to customers, very condescending and overall lacks basic social skills...Will not be shopping there until the moral improves. Not good for business...or is it due to the clientele?

It's your typical Southside food lion. Apathetic staff, mouthy customers, trashy people, kids running all over the place screaming and yelling. Honestly I try to stay away from this place. Kroger and Publix isn't too much further and way better selection and customer service and customers. Watch out in the parking lot they will run you over and not think twice.
