I have now purchased my second vehicle from Japanese Classics. As a repeat customer, I can share that this team strives for a great customer experience every time. My first car had zero issues when I purchased it and I enjoyed it for nearly 3yrs before heading back to Japanese Classics. It’s great when things go the way they’re supposed to, but you really learn about a company when they don’t. On this last purchase, there were a couple of small things that were missed and even I missed them when I took delivery. Paul took care of the issues immediately and made me feel confident that his team would get it done, and they did. Dan, who sold me my first JDM vehicle, also followed up to make sure things were going smoothly. I even had a chance to chat with Chris, the owner, who is incredibly down to earth and a true enthusiast. I can’t say enough great things about this team. If you’re considering Japanese Classics, take it from someone who’s purchased again and again, this is your team for JDM imports.

The experience was great. Dan greeted us made us feel at home. Paul was our salesman, he was great. They have this process down and left nothing to question. They took us to the warehouse to look at the car first, then we went for a test drive with them . They let us test drive it by ourselves after, then put the car on the lift after driving to be sure we could see any leaks and see the underbody. The purchase process was very quick and streamlined. These are top quality vehicles they purchase.

I would like to say I really like these guys a lot they are super helpful and are fair. I’m sure I have been an annoying customer but they take it in stride and consistently help me with any information that I need! I would really recommend these guys! (Update) These guys have been incredibly helpful And super supportive I cannot express how much they have helped with support from service and part. I implore anyone who is looking for a jdm classic to really consider these guys they will not disappoint!

Great cars and they know their stuff. That said, the buying process is a bit different as you must put a deposit down to test drive a car. They have to do this because they have a lot of unqualified buyers and people who just want to drive a JDM car with no intention of actually buying. Prices are fair. They wont negotiate pricing. They are busy so they have set times to view their cars. They give honest and complete descriptions and have a knowledgeable staff and great mechanics. They are honest people and you can be comfortable buying here

Scooped a 94 Prado from these guys a couple months ago and the entire experience was top tier. The truck itself is an absolute stunner, runs well, was fairly priced, and is the most fun daily driver I’ve ever owned.
Was super impressed with the level of service I received from Japanese Classics, specifically my guy Paul. The dude is insanely knowledgeable, incredibly helpful, and just genuinely digs jdm stuff which shows when you interact with him. Maintaining a 30 year old RHD import is obviously a bit more involved than a new vehicle, so having someone like Paul and the JC parts department a phone call away is an enormous benefit.
Not your typical “as-is” used car dealer, these guys understand they sell rare vehicles to a niche market and go out of their way to keep you happy and turn you into a repeat customer.

Finally found the Hilux I was looking for here. I looked at a bunch and Dan was super helpful and patient while I found the one for me. I ended up getting a red 1995 Surf and I’m simply in love with it! Thanks guys!

Working with Japanese Classics was one of the best car buying experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re thinking about making a purchase from these guys, just go ahead and pull the trigger.
They made the whole process super easy. Picked me up at my hotel in Richmond in the van I was buying so I could take it for a lengthy test drive. When we got back to the shop, they put it up on a lift and did a complete walkthrough of everything underneath the van, and made sure I knew exactly what I was buying. After that we sat down and went over documentation for miles verification, and the safety standards that they make sure every vehicle meets. By the time I left, I was pretty confident that I was going home in a solid, reliable vehicle.
Aside from the great buying experience, the follow up support they offer is amazing. They’ve done a lot of work sourcing parts so they have a lot on hand, and have a lot of information on parts you can easily buy in the states, which is huge. Tracking down and ordering parts can definitely be a pain, and it can take forever. Knowing I can call these guys up, have help with diagnostics, and then get what I need is enough to justify giving them the business.
I left and drove my new Hiace 1600 miles in 30 hours with zero hiccups.
These guys genuinely take pride in making sure you’re getting something awesome and reliable. Will definitely be using Japanese Classics for any and all future JDM purchases! Thanks again guys!

This place is awesome. Went up to look at a car, and Dan was very helpful. He showed us around the dealership and work area’s. He even put the car on the lift for me to inspect it inside and out. They definitely don’t try to hide anything. Will definitely do business with them again. A bunch of good guys there. I felt so comfortable I drove the car home on a 13 hour trip. Keep up the good work!!!!

Working on selling all of my other vehicles to upgrade them to these wonderful 90s model JDM cars/suv/trucks.
Will definitely be back purchasing more vehicles in the near future.
Would be cool if the dealership made another LLC that operated out of the exact same building but sold European vehicles or vehicles from other countries besides Japan.
They do not sell any of that emissions, electric, lane departure sensor garbage vehicles that the United States propaganda is promoting.

I want to start the review by saying thank you to Japanese Classics for helping a dream come true for me! I recently purchased a 1998 Mazda Roadster and Japanese Classics made it so easy! Dan was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. The process was easy to follow and and stress free and made me feel comfortable and confident with my purchase, Dan was super responsive and answered any questions I had about the vehicle/process. Once I arrived Dan showed me around their amazing show room and their current inventory. Then we test drove the car and put it on a lift to check out the car as well. Dan was also great at explaining everything about the vehicle and also let me know that their parts department is available if I ever need anything in the future for the vehicle. Shipping was fast and car arrived safely as well. I've been driving the car for a few weeks and absolutely love it! I highly recommend Japanese Classics if you are looking for a great purchasing experience of a JDM vehicle and I'm looking forward to working with them again in the future! On time Airport pickup, put my 100 series on a lift so I could look around after the test drive, then gave me a tour of the shop and the awesome collection of cars. Paul was very helpful and great with communication. They made the entire process as smooth as my new land cruiser rides. I could not be happier. I drove straight home 6 uneventful hours in a well prepared RHD Land Cruiser. I was provided the auction sheet, and a detailed recap of all the service the truck received while in their possession. They even helped pair the bluetooth jdm radio to my phone before my trip so I would not be without audio for the drive.
