Job: To bulid/ install a solar operated gate and fix other issues with fence structureLong story short. HE LIED. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY. UNETHICALHe came out did a thorough walk thru and ended up completing LESS THAN HALF the job that he was hired to do. Showed up the 1st day on time and NEVER returned. When I called him he said he had other jobs scheduled prior to mine and would be back out in 2-3 days. Day 3 rolls around and he doesn't answer the phone. When I called from an unknown number, he answers and he gets annoyed to find out it was me.He then states he needed 2 more days to complete the job he is working on and if he does not come back to finish the work he would return the money for the unfinished job. HE LIED.

Update: came to find out Mac used really cheap materials and the posts were too far from each other. The wood is warped and bending. I asked him to fix the gates, which were both very slanted. His solution was to nail a 2x4 across the gate and call it good. Not great workmanship. Not great business ethics considering I paid $3k and could've gotten a much better fence from a trusted company. Always do your research before hiring contractors. Lesson learned.

Has anyone that requested an estimate or paid a deposit heard from Mac in the last month? He took a deposit and has disappeared. There was communication and it all stopped on July 2. Is he ill, in the hospital, etc.? If anyone knows, please leave a review.

Mac A Tac did an excellent job on our deck! Reasonable price and was completed in 3 days as promised. No issues related to their work on final inspection by the county building inspector. We are more than happy of the outcome of our project after a not so good experience with another contractor where we had to stop the work and did not mind losing money just to escape the agony and move forward with the project.

I called Mac in April '20 for a quote on redoing my deck. However I didn't call him back until July and he still honored the quote he gave me. He did a great job and completed the deck much better than I expected. He even gave me a week to live with it and make changes as I saw fit. He was very professional and the deck adds value to my house! I'm very pleased!!!

Mac came and gave me what felt like a reasonable quote right away. He also got to the job right away and seemed like the did what was needed. He left while I was working and when I inspected it later, I contacted him because I saw that there was a support brace placed in my neighbors parking space and the gates had a gap between them. He told me "if" my neighbors complained then he would come fix it. I was not happy with that response so he came and looked at again. He told me that the the fence posts he attached the gates to were not set in concrete which made the whole thing unstable without that brace. He could fix it for another $800. I'm not a contractor but I feel like he should have known that to begin with... As it turns out, even the bracing that he installed was not enough. Over the last few months the gates are sagging more and more to the point I now literally cannot open them. Now I need to hire some else to fix them.

Thank you Mr. McCoy for excellent deck cleaning and staining my patio deck most recently. Mr. McCoy arrived early and actually arrived at my home for an estimate before I got there.He told me what I needed to have done to restore my deck to its splendor!And to my liking it was the right color stain I wanted. I highly recommend Mac A Tec Construction!

Waited over an hour past the original time for someone to arrive for a scheduled consultation. I was never contacted and had to contact the company. They had other things to do and forgot. Below the owner is saying it was because of the weather, but after contacting them on Friday May 1st, I was told it was because of a late payroll issue. Either way, I waited for an hour and not a single soul reached out to me. They asked (after wasting my time) if they could reschedule. I think not. Behaviors such as these illustrate perfectly how professional an establishment really is.
