Recently moved from the netherlands to Richmond and and I needed a new hairdresser.
Normally I don't trust people with my hair but I do trust nanette! 💜 Everytime, you make more of my hair that what I am expecting. Thank you!

This was our first visit to Salon Del Sol as we are new to the area. We have nothing but praise for our hairdresser Whitney. She was professional, friendly, listened to our requests for color and cuts, and gave excellent advice. We felt very confident in her care. The atmosphere of the salon was soothing and relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful. Five star service! We’ll definitely be coming back!

Poorly executed men's haircut, definitely not worth the price. I've had haircuts in NYC, LA, Boston... perhaps my expectations were high, but I don't see how this haircut was worth much more than a $30 special from a bad barber.

Whitney SAVED me from a disastrous short haircut at another salon. She didn’t have much to work with when I came in pleading for help. She worked real magic on my borderline curly and hard-to-cut hair, and coached me on caring for it better in the future. Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!

Theresa is amazing!
I’ve been to many stylists over the years, (and I have an allergy to hair color) but Theresa at the Aveda salon stands out in every way. She takes the time to listen, offers thoughtful suggestions, and her technique is flawless. My hair has never looked or felt better, healthy, vibrant, and exactly the style I was hoping for. She’s not only incredibly skilled, but also kind, professional, and calming to be around. I set an appointment with the highest level experience. I asked for shiny curl. She said her phone didn’t work and didn’t know what I was there for. Iceland a good solid one inch tr and I have naturally curly hair so make it curly and shiney. She said she had to blow it out straight to curl it. Then said there you go. She thought a slight wave was curly. Then she stated because she doesn’t speak English well she was confused. I had a wedding to go to and knew it was going to be extremely hot. Needless to say I’m sure my pictures will not turn out well. Why have masters and different levels of ability when the master has none.

Do not follow google maps, the location is wrong. I did some cardio in flip flops for a half hour trying to find the salon and came in like a ball of chaos 😅 Luke was very patient with me calling for directions three times and Naneth was amazing for seeing me even though I was late and a hot mess. The salon is clean and calm, smells amazing and is comfortable. She gave an amazing haircut and was great at communicating what I was looking to do that day. It was a good experience and now that I know where the salon is, I will definitely be visiting again (on time and less anxious…)
***This salon is on the SECOND FLOOR near the Crate and Barrel. Google maps will bring you to the Boathouse restaurant which is on the opposite side of the mall. Find the Starbucks and go up the escalators, then walk towards the Crate and Barrel. Once you get there, look at the store and turn left. It should be a few stores down. Black sign with white writing and glass doors.

Great cut and blowout! Looking forward to my next appointment. The Aveda Products make salon smell so good. She did a moisturizer on my hair during the wash and massaged my hands. It was such a great service. So relaxing.
