Quiet accommodations in a historic mansion. Perfect spot for fishing 🎣, hiking, night sky viewing, and accessing the restaurants of Warm Springs. The Waterwheel restaurant is recommended.
The Summer Kitchen is a separate building. The upstairs is modern with dishwasher while the downstairs does not have all of the amenities as it was built for the movie 🍿 “Sommersby”.
There’s accessible hunting for disabled veterans nearby.

Everything one wants for a ROMANTIC GETAWAY from business and clock watching. Dive into a slower time of nostalgic charm with your forever love?
Beautiful views will give you both tranquility and peace. Not far away, day trips with hiking and golfing, or winter skiing can be made to The Homestead, and food is delicious at several eateries in the area. Check out both locations for whatever your interests are.

What a beautiful house and location. We loved our two-night stay in such a lovely spot. It was fun visiting with Pam and Ron, hearing about the history of the house, exploring the grounds, enjoying two delicious meals, and relaxing between activities.

If you’re traveling through Virginia, and want an absolutely gorgeous, restful and peaceful place to stop and visit and take a break, this is the place. A visit here would make a great special holiday like a honeymoon, second honeymoon or anniversary. I’ve stayed in other B&Bs, but this one is THE BEST, and it’s because the people that run it know what they are doing.Rooms: The rooms are all appointed with antebellum period decor and are extremely clean and very spacious and comfortable.

A working farm, a beautiful location and hosts that are as appealing as the surroundings. If you want to have a place to stay while enjoying the Virginia countryside, this is the place.Nearby activities: Right on the Jackson River. Good fishing in the special regulations section. Lots of wildlife. Birding is excellent. Bear, deer, coyote and the occasional bobcat.Walkability: Part of the National Forest with hiking and drive in camping.

Stayed quite a few years ago, and it was a great experience. Very picturesque. My grandmother and mother were with me, and the hosts were great showing us some genealogical relevant stuff they had, and providing a great breakfast.

Got to try it. Very secluded and the hospitality is great. Great hikes and the Jackson river is right there if you want to go fishing! Close enough to Hot Spring area for restaurants.
