This is a great company! Very responsive management with polite and hard working movers. They accommodated my schedule with little notice. There was no damage to any of my possessions for my move from Norfolk to Arlington. I was very fortunate to have this company for my move. Thank you!

One of their "Movers" cut infront of me pulling onto route 250 on top of afton. I was on a motorcycle and threw my hands up because he about killed me. (All video recorded) this "mover" then proceeded to try and ram my motorcycle at the first stop light the bottom of Afton. He pointed a gun out of the window at me so I sped away. He proceeded at the next light to do the same. Mind you I have video footage of the whole incounter. When called into the company they replied with "that's hard to believe" and tranfered me to another employee who sounded just as nonchalant....will be filling a police report with evidence.If you want this type of trash moving your personal belongings and trust them, you have very low standards.

Excellent service at a great price. The movers were very professional, timely and efficient. They moved our house from southern Virginia to northern Virginia. They asked questions and explained how they were packing the truck. They worked so hard and helped me place everything in the house just the way I wanted. We highly recommend this company!

I am not typically someone who writes reviews, but in this instance I could not resist. I have used movers to make 7 long distance moves. No one offers the service, thoughtfulness, attention, follow-through, value for my money, professionalism or empathy for the customer that this firm does. No one. I often felt like they cared more for my belongings and for the details of the move than I did! Working with them makes me look forward to my next move!

I have to brag about our movers. They were phenomenal. Another medical family recommended them, and I’m so glad they did. They packed us and moved us from Cville to FL and we didn’t have any walls nicked, nothing broken, and no hidden fees! They were super professional and I was shocked how easily everything went. They even showed some love to our dog and made him feel less nervous. Our driver, David, worked super hard and made me feel comfortable having him pack some important things that didn’t fit in our vehicle. Best moving experience I’ve ever had! HIGHLY recommend!Service: Out-of-county removals

Although they were on top pf things to get our item picked up (one piece 122 lbs) on short notice, they quoted a high price (oVER $600 and the pick up was within 11 miles of their facility) for a complete service of pick up, materials,crating and handling. In the end the materials and crating were not needed or required. They charged our credit card prior to any of the services and were only willing to credit less than a 6th of the original amount charged our card for crating and materials. Based on their unwillingness to negotiate a fair price for the final services provided I would not recommend them

We recently had American of Virginia move a very large house full of furniture. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They were excellent and very professional. This company made every single step in the process go smoothly. I was amazed at the level of professionalism at every level, something you don't see much of these days. Not a single item was damaged or lost. The movers themselves were the hardest workers I believe I have ever seen, and so polite!! I would highly reccomend them to anyone!

American of Virginia recently moved my belongings from my home into storage. I recently experience a trauma and had to move out of my home on very short notice. American of Virginia provided me with all the boxes, tape, and paper needed. They disassembled my bed for me and moved everything into storage. Because of the nature of the traumatic event and having to move on such short notice one of their employees helped me back on her personal time. I would definitely recommend American of Virginia!

Bad experience, damaged property and the claim process with Atlas is a hassle and borders on bad faith. Still fighting their claims dept over wall and trim damage 3 months after our move. Would not recommend.
