Excellent customer service. I bought a pair of shoes that turned out to be faulty, but the store took shoes back without any questions and refunded me really fast.

I recently visited Shoe Dept. Encore and had a pleasant experience overall. The store is spacious and well-organized, making it easy to find what you're looking for. The selection of shoes is impressive, with a variety of brands like Nike, FILA, and Vans, catering to different tastes and needs. The store also has a good range of accessories and bags, which is a nice bonus.
The staff was friendly and helpful, providing assistance whenever needed without being intrusive. They helped me find the right sizes and styles, making my shopping experience smoother.
However, I did notice that the pricing isn't the most competitive. While the selection is great, I found that some items were priced higher compared to other stores. If you're looking for the best deals, you might need to shop around.
Overall, Shoe Dept. Encore is a solid choice for finding a variety of shoes and accessories. The excellent selection and friendly staff make it worth a visit, even if the prices aren't the lowest.

Got my sliders with a good price. Had to get my wife's size transferred from a Texas store. All went well until I picked them up today and one shoe had been placed out as a display. Poor decision by the store. That was MY special order.

We will never be going here again. Ever. I can’t even believe they are still in business. I am not writing this review after a single, isolated experience. This is a review of multiple experiences.
First of all, the place is filthy. It is obvious it never gets vacuumed. There are disorganized piles of shoes everywhere. The employees are not helpful at all. They all have headphones in and look like they hate their lives. During one of our visits, I made eye contact with one employee multiple times over the course of our time in the store, and she was very quick to look away each time. She avoided offering help of any kind.
During a previous experience, we stood at the cash register, waiting to check out, not 15 feet away from an employee unpacking boxes of shoes - same story - made eye contact multiple times to which she quickly diverted her gaze to avoid helping us, all the while listening to her music.
Our most recent experience involved us and another customer waiting at the register again. The employee sauntered slowly from the back, taking her time. It’s a long store so it took a minute. When she arrived I asked about the store’s return policy. She said she doesn’t do returns and told me to go the back of the store and ask another employee, all while walking away from me. I explained that I don’t have a return, I was simply asking about the policy, to which she replied that she doesn’t know anything about that. The customer that was waiting with me found the return policy posted on the desk just below the register. I had not seen it, but we learned together what the policy was. She returned to the register irritated and rang us up.

Many many shoes, no nike or converse. But many choices, especially adidas and puma.There's a one shoe thing, during checkout is when they get the other one. Which is chill, no need for both shoes. Their theft went down majorly from that.

Terrible service. My husband and I came to buy flip flops. My husband asked for a second pair of shoes so he could try on two as he has problems with his foot. We were refused and a guy with an earring in his nose short stature said that we can see and measure two at once only after we buy.My husband started talking to me and complaining about the service, my husband only spoke to me, and not to the store employee. The worker called security and said that we were rude. Although we did not say anything to the employee. I just asked for a second pair of shoes.If you have problems with your feet and want to try on two shoes at once, do not go to this store

I walked in this store today wanting to buy a pair of tennis shoes! It was the display model. So I asked kindly, if the sales lady could scan it and see if it was on sale. Rudely replied “No, they are not on sale, they’re brooks!” I asked if I could have the other shoe so I could try them both on before making a purchase, she rudely replied saying that I could get it at check out when I purchased them. Why on earth would anyone want to buy $100 pair of shoes without trying them BOTH on?!? I can only try one shoe on at a time?!?! I’ve never walked into a shoe store and had someone tell me I could only try one shoe at a time…. I’ll take my business else where with an experience like this.

Every time I have gone to this store, the workers have been extremely nice and helpful and the prices are great, but today one worker went above and beyond. I didn't catch his name but he had pretty bluish-green hair. I was looking for black slides for a wedding I was attending in a few days but was having trouble finding shoes that would work. Size 10 was too tight and size 11 would slip off my feet but there was no 10.5 in any of the shoes. The worker helped me for the better part of half an hour. As I was just about to buy cheap 11 shoes and find a way to make them work, he found slightly different shoes with straps on them. They work perfectly in a size 11. I would have just given up and bit the bullet and wear uncomfortable shoes for the wedding but he thought out of the box and found some shoes that were not only comfortable but cheap as well. Always my first show store to try.

They have variety of shoes. But I the worst service ever, the staff were mean and they were always going back and forth acting mean the worst resist bigotry store I have ever encountered.
