Very nice, warm decor, attentive service, great menu with lots of choices, but needs more signage for location.

Excellent food, great service and a pleasant atmosphere. What more can you ask for in a restaurant? I only have one problem with the menu. The Orange Beef is so good I can't stop ordering it. I've had other dishes at Sawan Thai, and all were very good, but the Orange Beef is the best.

Only our second visit. Wide and varied menu items. Can be very spicy. Reasonably priced wines. Looking forward to going back again.

Excellent! Our server was very friendly and helpful, since we had a couple questions about the different kinds of curry. They recommended one for us both and it came out quick and tasted great. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.

My favorite restaurant on the island. I visit as many times as possible when I am home and can't help but order crispy parcels every time!

Sawan is the same owners as Kachai kitchen and Sawadty. All their locations are a good choice for some great Thai food. Sawan is a little further out of the way than the others tho located in Lynwood Center on Bainbridge Island. They are also only open 4:30PM-8PM and its not a giant place. So make sure to grab reservations if you can. Also, their service is AWFUL (phone service that is ;)), been coming here for years and never can't get a signal inside the restaraunt or even in the area. Their staff are always great though.

The 2nd to last time I was there, not only did they forget to start cooking our order after we called it in, they gave us the wrong food. :/ We also asked for 4 stars and it certainly was not. They did throw in extra rice for free which was a nice gesture though. The last time it was just disappointing and we felt as though something was very wrong with the chicken satay. I will try one last time probably in about 6 months or so. I hope they will have re-gained some inspiration and spark!

Grateful to have this family run restaurant so close to my home. Always fresh ingredients & very friendly service. The wonton soup is continually the best I've ever had!

Great service! Vegan options were available that was a big plus. Food was delicious, and the ambience was lovely. Would recommend.

Love the fact that this place is here! The food is good, the service is usually great. I had one young hostess react rudely when I wanted a glass of wine while I waited for takeout but I go every couple weeks and haven't seen her since so no biggie. I like Mama's salad, their Larb is good, soups great. Solid Thai food. Go up a level on your spice preference -- their 4 stars is my 2 stars.

Delicious Thai food from a friendly, relaxed neighborhood restaurant. Can't come in without ordering the addictive crispy parcels, and have thoroughly enjoyed a wide variety of dishes from noodles to curries and larb. Low-key in all the right ways and always welcoming.

Pad Thai is amazing, I crave this place monthly!

No full bar. Only beer and wine. Friendly staff. Felt like he had known us for as long as he has obviously known the patrons at the next table over. Per his suggestion, we ordered the off menu Pad Lao. "Mama" makes it deliciously. Yellow curry was quite spicy at 3.5, might as well have been a 4. Skip the greasy appetizer combo. Stay for "mama's" lovely authentic Thai dishes. (Definitely ask for suggestions and off menu items, you won't regret it!)

I'm not sure how people gave this place such good reviews. Not only was the food awful (think ketchup-y pad Thai and curry that was so oily there was literally no curry to pour over the rice, just oil!) but the service was probably some of the worst I've ever had. The day after our meal, we both feel sick. We would never return. Ever.

Our go to Thai Place on the BI. Consider the Beef Panag and Chicken Pad Thai. I would also tell you about the Shrimp Fresh Rolls on Fridays and Saturdays, but then there would be less for me (they only make limited quantities) so forget I mentioned it.

This restaurant is part of the family that started Sawatdy restaurant on Brainbridge Island. The family has branched out throughout North Kitsap and owns a variety of other Thai restaurants. I am not crazy about Sawan Thai Kitchen, but in full transparency I've only visited once. I found the food to be presented beautifully, the plates were absolutely wonderful to look at. The interior of the restaurant is lovely as well. My biggest issue with the food is the chef's heavy-handedness using sugar. Most of my dishes tasted overly sweet even ones that I did not expect to have sugar or much sugar in them. I also don't think that the flavors overall connect the way they do at Sawatdy Thai restaurant. For some reason the food just missed real flavor. Perhaps it was because of the over whelming sugar that was a turn-off but I think in general it missed that spiciness that I'm used to with Thai food. And, I did ask for enough stars that my food should have been spicy. I admit that my feelings about this restaurant could be because I'm super biased having been to this restaurant only once and having much more experience in time at at the other. I will say, though, that in reality Thai food is generally good no matter where you get it, unless it's done very cheaply and without care. So, this restaurant absolutely puts care into what they serve. And, although I am not compelled to return, that care matters a great deal to me.

This place is always 5 stars! I'd give them more if I could. Incredible food...fresh clean and not greasy. The duck is incredible, the beef salad is so refreshing the chili beef...like no other!

This is one of the best restaurants on Bainbridge Island. If your looking for a well thought out consistent dining experience this is the place. We have eaten here many times and realize that the preparation and quality of food coming out of this kitchen is nothing but a professional effort for all to enjoy.

I love Sawan Thai Kitchen. Probably the best veggie pad thai on the planet and I've eaten pizza and pad thai just about everywhere in the USA. If you ever visit Bainbridge Island, make sure you don't miss Sawan. The people are extremely nice and you'll love the food, even if you don't have the veggie pad thai.

Wonderful food and capable, kind staff. Basil Chicken, Crispy Duck, Pad See Ew are all wonderful. Sticky rice on weekends.

Great food, really knowledgeable helpful wait staff- trust server's recommendations, they know all the less commonly eaten jewels of the menu. Nice environment in Pleasant Beach, Bainbridge Island.
