We recently bought a home in Bellingham and were lucky enough to have Kyle Martin, of Muljat Group, as our agent. Our situation would have been challenging for any agent – we were out-of-state, and although we’ve visited Bellingham many times and had “favorite” neighborhoods and spots, we knew we would have to rely on Kyle’s ability to translate our likes, dislikes, circumstances, and goals into something that would be the right fit.
Buying a home involves that unusual combination of financial and emotional decisions – does it fit our budget, will we be happy there, etc. What impressed us immediately was Kyle’s listening skills. He has an impressive ability to keep track of both information and feelings; he remembers very specific details, and can translate likes and dislikes into both personal and practical terms. We knew we could trust him to take the lead in navigating the market for us.
Kyle also has in-depth knowledge of the markets, financial options, and long-range planning factors. This added a whole other level to helping us make sound decisions as we looked at properties, and it made a huge difference when we made our final purchase.
For our particular purchase we had a very tight escrow timeline, and Kyle was amazing at organizing each step and keeping us informed so we could stay on top of the process. Kyle also has a very solid network of people he works with; he referred us to an excellent mortgage broker who was very knowledgeable, inspired confidence, and was able to meet the challenge of a tight timeline; he also set us up with a really great local title company.
Kyle’s communication style is relaxed and attentive, AND, at the same time, very focused and on-task. Kyle’s warm, supportive manner relieved our stress all the way through and helped keep us focused on the process. We ended up purchasing a home that ticks all the boxes and more, we couldn’t have done it without Kyle.

They abandon clients when they're needed most, they outsource details which get missed and then the homebuyer is left with both their and their subcontractors errors. Worst services ? ?

Sophia Evans of the Muljat group Bellingham was incredible as our agent from start to finish! She was highly recommended from our mortgage broker as someone who had the right amount of push and pull and a "bull dog" as they put it. She was exactly that, just when you needed her to be. Sophia communicated impeccably, with us and the other agents involved and she was truly great at getting the necessary information to put forth the strongest and best offer on our behalf. We always knew she had our absolute best interests at heart and she was never willing to let us settle during moments of anxiety or fear. We couldn't have asked for more from our agent and we are forever thankful to her and Muljat for helping find us our dream home in a housing market where that seemed nearly impossible.

Hana at Muljat helped me sell a home in the county and purchase a condo in downtown Bellingham. Both experiences were very low stress, which really was surprising after hearing other friends discuss their more challenging real estate situations over the past few years. Hana did a great job with keeping me informed and with being available. I never really had questions because I felt like everything was very transparent. I really appreciate the work done to help me with my selling and purchasing.

Holly was amazing for us in helping us find our first home. She took the time to explain the process and make us understand how everything works. I highly recommend Mike Bredeson if you are looking for a realtor for buying in the Bellingham area. He has an experienced eye for houses/properties and is adaptive and receptive to the buyer's needs and shopping styles.Mike realized we'd done a lot of prior research before first meeting him and immediately adapted his process to add value to what we already brought to the table. He would actively scope out (on foot) any potentially new properties and could see issues from a mile away. He moved fast to get us into our house at competitive time and saved us money in the end.We will definitely be using Mike, the Johnson team, and the Muljat group when we buy again someday. I live in a condo association where Muljat Group shows units. They pound large signs into our property where it isn't permitted, and take up parking spots reserved for current owners and tenants, and are often surly when asked to move. I wouldn't do business with them after experience how they treat members of the community who aren't assisting them in making a buck.
