Four in our party and all were delighted with our meals. Steelhead, steak, pasta, shrimp... all with unique and delicious preparation. Plenty of tables in the pub and excellent service. Well surprised and quite pleased.

Love this place! A tad loud sometimes, but you get lost in the cozy atmosphere you start to not notice tbh... The staff is always so friendly and willing to tell you about a drink if you don't know it. Such a fun place! Good food too!

This place... everything about this place... is so amazing! I so much appreciate the creativity of the chef in his plating. He goes above and beyond. A dish that tastes good isn’t good enough for him; it has to look AMAZING before it leaves his kitchen. The staff is so attentive and makes you feel so cared for. The atmosphere is so relaxed. This place deserves your business. You will not regret it!

Awesome food, awesome atmosphere. My husband and I love coming here on date night. There isn't anything on the menu that isn't good.

Places like The Shire are why I love Trip Advisor. I never would have found such a nondescript place without TA, and would have missed an excellent meal. The atmosphere is quiet, but with a good music selection. The waiter was just right -- attentive, but no hovering. And the chicken and crab Savoy was impeccable. Each component was perfectly seasoned and had its own excellent flavor, and the combination of chicken, broccoli, and crab was a harmonious yum-fest. Thank you, TA and The Shire!!!

Our cancer support group has a dinner every year. I've lived here 7 years but had not been to the Shire Bar and Bistro so I didn't know what to expect. The food was great. I ordered coconut cod with red potatoes, mushroom, and beans with a sauce. It was excellent but I'm a bigger guy and could have eaten a bigger serving but it was all good anyway.

We stopped here en-route from Portland to Seattle. What a nice surprise...good food and local color. The wooden bar and a large wooden cabinet were most beautiful. There were posters, photos, antiques. All were very interesting. Service was great, as was the food. All four in our party had the clam chowder. It was thick and creamy with plenty of clams. I had a Caesar salad with shrimp. There were no tails on the nicely grilled shrimp! My husband had a grilled smoked turkey sandwich. Our friends had shrimp salad. Everything was tasty and went well with the cold beer. There is ample on the street parking, too.
