The campground was neat and clean.. picturesque... beautiful location and space. But the cabin I was in was really old and smelly. The bathroom was really old and absolutely needs to be fixed. The shower floor was broken and there were bugs coming out of the drain. I couldn't take shower there.

A very warm welcome from day one, and keep on continue to surprise my family and I with amazing views around the resort. Beautiful and peaceful scenery has keeping my soul at ease.Wonderful experience on a boat on the lake is just a plus to my vacation with the resort. Helpful and polite workers makes me and my family forgot that we are just there for a vacation.I strongly recommend people to pay them a visit and experience the beauty of the Sun Village Resort.

Terrible experience!!! Super Rude on topp of cutting power to our site for 3 days and NOT reimbursing us and even yelling at us for using our rv and banning us .. (not a loss) DEFINITELY won't be coming back to this clown show! Had a friend rent the cabin and they had bed bugs all over the place and they just kept blaming everyone else for everything! What a joke this was! Everyone we spoke to said their experience was terrible and instead of taking it like a responsible owner they blamed campers

Nice, quiet, quaint little resort tucked away in a corner of Blue Lake; plenty of cabins and space for camping (RVs and/or tents); boat launch and docking slips; fuel if needed for boats and toys; great, friendly service. My 2nd time here; the only issue I had the 2nd time was a few bugs found in the cabin after it was cleaned. Not a huge deal, but maybe a BIT more attention could be paid to making sure bugs are taken care of before people move in (though I do understand it's the summer, as well). Certainly not a deal-breaker, though. Definitely recommended if you want a nice, relaxing, peaceful visit to Blue Lake or the Sun Lakes area, even if you still want to have some fun on the water. Will definitely be back. ?????????

Absolutely terrible experience. Just got home after a weeks stay at this place. Would give 0 stars if we could. We used to come here for many years and Ben before new owner and never had problems. First of all, the power kept shutting down, the grumpy “new owner” blamed us, even tho we ran a 30 amp wire because that’s what it advertised at. He was angry from the beginning, then we completely disconnected for the next 2 days and it shut down without us even being connected, he then proceeded to completely disconnect our power without telling us, we had no power for two nights and it was miserable for my baby but we were patient. he yelled at another camper who walked up asking about when it will be fixed. Incredibly unprofessional, he could crack a smile every once in a while. All we asked was for him to be polite and kind and actually approachable. He spent his day micro managing everything under the sun and the cabin my friend stayed in had bed bugs and dirty sheets with body hair when she checked in. The teenagers at the front are still incredibly inexperienced and walk around like a bunch of airheads, and THEY DONT HAVE A LANDLINE, so you can’t actually ever reach them. One camper was having a stroke on one of the days and we ran around frantically looking for service trying to call 911. So the owner said he had a bar or so, so they managed to get a call through. Ridiculous, we miss rusty and this place is now a ?show. He acted like he was mad at all the campers for being there. Really disappointed in this experience. Going elsewhere from now on.

If it hadn’t been for the location, this place would get zero stars. The temperatures during our stay were between 105 and 108 degrees every day. We were in a group of 4 RV’s with 1 having a dual AC onboard. During the first evening of our stay the maintenance person questioned them about running their second unit, and subsequently they decided to only run one. Even though the meter onboard clearly showed that the 24 amps they were drawing was well under the 30 service at the receptacle. The following day, the power kept tripping off, and would take them sometimes several hours to get back on. We had small children so were forced to run generators to keep the RV’s cool. Around late afternoon another camper came into our campsite extremely angry, looking to fight regarding the power issue. Attempted to explain that they weren’t even plugged in at the time and were running on generators only. Even when they were using power, they were at 16 amps. There would’ve been a fight had it not been for us being in a large group. The power issues continued for the duration of our stay. We found out later that the owner of the resort had been telling the other campers that it was our fault for the power issue, which it clearly was not. This reckless and unprofessional behavior is undoubtedly the reason for the altercation we had. The resort ended up charging us for full price despite the fact that the power was only on about half of the time. Zero discounts were given, knowing that we had to run generators during the highest gas prices ever recorded. If that wasn’t enough, they decided to slap us with a $150 dollar fine for a “damage fee”. Power troubles have plagued the place for quite some time as I’ve noticed from other reviews, and hopefully they can get this fixed before they use another camper looking for a relaxing weekend as a scapegoat

Rude manager/owner, picks on everything, needs better people/customer service skills. Always grumpy and unapproachable acts like he hates everyone. Would give zero stars if that was possible.

I'd rate zero stars, but that's not an option. The new owners are rude and not very hospitable. I'm a disabled veteran and they attempted to charge me for my service dog in defiance of state and federal law, and argued with me about my dog's status as a service animal. My extended family has been going to this resort for over 20 years, and I will not be going back. The current owner and management are horrible. I recommend going somewhere else.

Various types of camping & lodging facilities available depending on a person's needs and preferences. We are a 2nd & 3rd generation of vacationers...never been disappointed. Weather is always a challenge, but never leave disappointed. Then again, we are camping?.

we camped there a couple of weeks ago and was very disappointed with the new owner. Seemed to be mad about something every day. We have been staying there for many years, but no more. Rusty and his crew were always happy and glad to help in anyway. Now it seems you are lucky to even get a smile from anyone. The restrooms were not as clean, the boats were a mess with trash, rainwater etc. The teenagers seemed Like they had no experience at all. So, I wish them good luck as they will need it.

We are new to RV camping. We went to a state park last week and it had lush green lawns, lots of room between spots, clean etc. So coming here was quite a different experience. We were very lucky to get a spot on the very end of a dead end road in the park, spot 32, next to some very nice considerate people. We had nobody to the right of us, a beautiful view of the adjacent sun lake, and it was quiet, because the state park was closed so there wasn’t any traffic. When exploring the park we found all the spaces incredibly close and packed together. The end where the swimming area is was extremely loud, music and people; glad we were on the opposite side of that.We brought jet skis and had a fantastic time on the lake. The lake is warm, no milfoil, pretty clear and clean. My complaints are the resort clearly doesn’t care about how poor the launch and slip area is. The launch is horribly small, very steep, and no concrete under it, it was an embarrassing nightmare trying to load the jet skis back up.The slips we paid for to store them for the weekend were rickety, falling apart, you wondered if you were gonna just go crashing in. The whole slip is just filled with disgusting sulfur smelling muck up to you’re waist. No joke I had to get off the ski to stop it because it’s so narrow and tight in there, you sink up to your belly in the most foul smelling muck a few feet from shore.Overall we had a good time, but the lakes just too small for our thirst for exploration on the jet skis.
