The gym looks incredible, most people in the gym are considerate but the new, new staff can't be bothered to say hello or good bye. I miss when they knew who we were and acknowledged us by name! Look up from your phone and take out your earbuds, walk around! I will say the young lady that cleans is super friendly and pays attention to detail.

Gold’s Gym of Kirkland is a scam of a business and will not allow you to cancel your membership. Do not join this gym. After requesting cancellation in person at the gym I was directed to email the address shown on the back of my id badge. After multiple emails over a 8 month period beginning May 2023, I received no response and continued to be charged. Eventually, I was asked to pay $200 to cancel. This is unacceptable. I am having to initiate a small claims court case against them because the representatives are completely useless.

Gold's Gym does not have any regard for their member's health and safety.1. They got a new pulley system exercise station. If you removed the pin to change the weight the heavy bar would drop like a rock. I got hit on the shoulder one time and I know one member who got hit on the head. I reported this to management, and it took over two months to resolve the problem. In the meantime, they failed to remove the heavy bar until the system was fixed or put up a sign that stated that if you pull the pin out to change the weight the bar might drop on you.2. Most mornings when I went in the countertops by the sinks in the men's locker room would be covered with dirty paper towels because the two trash cans there were full. I reported this to management and told her they needed to get a larger waste can in the men's locker room. To this day another waste can was not put in the men's locker room and dirty paper towels still show up on the countertop.3. Sometimes the men's locker room would be out of hand soap. I'd report it to the front desk and the Gold's Gym employee was unable to solve the problem. There should always be a secondary plan to supply soap when it runs out in the men's locker room. I'm not happy with the fact that members go to the bathroom and don't have soap to wash their hands with.4. Many times, there would be no paper towels in the men's locker room or sometimes the paper towel machines weren't working properly. Again, the front desk employee had no way to put paper towels in the men's locker room. They should have a secondary plan so that at no time members lack paper towels.5. Sometimes an exercise station would be out of service, and it would take weeks and sometimes months for the equipment to be repaired. What did I like about Gold's Gym? It is five minutes from my residence, and it is the cheapest gym membership in the area. I guess you get what you pay for.

I have been going to this gym for a little under six months. What attracted my partner and I the most is how diverse the staff was at the gym… coming from San Diego it made me feel right at home … how beautiful and inclusive an owner is to make the right choice to hire all backgrounds. Not sure if management or ownership has changed but seems as if ALL diversity is GONE with all new employees to fit a new plan that they seem to have for this gym. It’s obvious and embarrassing. I work in big tech and understand the corporate giant and its diversity aspect. What an awful move to either get rid of (weird every single person of color doesn’t seem to be working any longer ) or just not scheduling them ( also strange) .Extremely disappointed that a business isn’t mindful of this in 2024. Oh but the rap music they blast at volume 100 makes up for it I guess ? the equipment is great at least …

I have been a long-time member of Gold's Gym Kirkland. Management has always been slow to repair or replace equipment. At any given time, there are 2-3 pieces of equipment that are broken and it takes several weeks to fix them. It causes me to wait for other pieces of equipment to open up and makes my workouts take much longer. The repairs are basic and common, such as broken cables, but the gym owner does not prioritize fixing them. The gym charges an annual "Enhancement Fee" of $49 on top of monthly dues. There is no explanation for this add-on fee and it clearly doesn't cover basic maintenance. Until this year I have not seen a single piece of new equipment in the gym or any “Enhancement”.

Fantastic gym that had a good manager & ownership did a great job with the remodel, paint, & furniture! ALL new cardio equipment, olympic weights, workout machines, & massage chairs! Within the last few years & especially this last year (2023) They’ve really transformed this location into a seemingly new gym, but with the same old school family gym feel. They even have full time cleaners now! My hat’s off to ownership, management, & friendly staff for a complete turnaround!

I have gone to this gym for almost 3 full years. In the past year, I have been repeatedly hit on by staff and members. I think this was a cultural shift with some of the newer hires. I quit my membership and requested a refund for my final month and they would not give it to me. Even though, their manager was allegedly fired for harassment and I pointed to multiple examples of them and other staff members treating me inappropriately. Including a male weekend staff member who hit on me both in the gym and when he would see me in public when I was shopping, etc. The behavior is highly inappropriate. I also was constantly harassed for a month by 1 member. I told staff and it took over a month to get him removed. When he was removed, I found out Gold's had previously kicked him out for sexual harassment of members. Why was he let back in?? And why did it take so long to kick him out again? I had to adjust my times to avoid certain people - ridiculous. In terms of my inquired reimbursement for my last month... Gold's pointed to the fact I signed a contract and it could not be adjusted. Well, I didn't realize I would be harassed by multiple employees (and members) when I signed said contract.Other reasons the gym should get a low rating: The gym doesn't have enough equipment, and some of the new equipment sucks - including the very new expensive pulley machine which no one likes. Also, who paints a ceiling black? It gets very hot in the summer. In all, Gold's really should start training employees on proper workplace behavior and maybe give people reimbursements when their staff, including the previous manager they fired, inappropriately interact with their members.

Gold's gym is definitely my favorite in the area. It's very clean and staff is friendly. It's been renovated recently so most things are new. The only thing that needs improvement are the showers which seem pretty old. There are a lot of different machines, free weights and benches, so most of the time, i'm able to quickly go in to do my workout and get out. It can get very busy at certain times.

I've been going here faithfully for over a year and a half. The price point is ok. The regular staff is friendly. Gym equipment is kinda shabby, and the owner doesn't move new equipment into this location, just hand-me-downs. All but 2 of the barbells spin like a top, which can be frustrating. But It is not a super busy gym on most days, so you can get through your workout without having to change too much. The gym could use more racks and benches, though, since those do fill up.As far as options go, there are 1-2 different types of machines to use for each minor/major muscle group plus the free weights. Dumbells max at 150 and low is 5lbs (they had smaller, but they disappeared recently). New renovations are going on rn, so hopefully, when it's done, upgrades are next. All in all, it's not a terrible gym, and people are nice. It's just management that is distant from the gym.

Golds gym is great for someone looking to lift weights or train cardio. It has all the essentials for a good price- and it was recently remodeled.

Right now, they are in the middle of some renovation and that makes it below standard. Otherwise great location.

This gym has been a disappointment for the last few years. They currently have 3 of 15 treadmills that function and it has been like that for a LONG time. They have signs that new equipment is coming soon, but that's been months too. None of the elliptical machine inclines work properly either, which I notified the front desk of years ago. Some of the weight equipment, like the shoulder mts press, have missing parts. And they have you pay a $50 annual fee for equipment maintenance. Guess that's going to the unnecessary remodel currently underway that has turned the gym into a black hole. Currently all the equipment is shoved into the center of the gym while they replace the floors. It really seems like they could have done smaller sections at once and not created such chaos. They also play overly loud music in the morning, which is really annoying when it overpowers your own ear buds. And a bunch of it is rap, so if you're into that, great.Perhaps when all the renovations are done and they receive the supposedly coming equipment, it might be nice. Won't be able to say because we cancelled our membership effective the end of the month to go to a better facility down the hill.As of June 14, 2023 I would avoid this gym for a while until they finish the remodel, then perhaps check it out then.

Great gym. I enjoy going here more than the fancier eastside gyms. Eager to see how the remodel looks when completed. I'm sure it will be fantastic.
