I'd like to know why my trash hasn't been picked up in two weeks. I paid my bill, and they're telling me no, that I owe. It's very stressful!
Is there any way I can contact you by email?

This isn’t a new issue I’m complaining about because we have used NVD for 15+ years and the customer service has always been awful. Even if you go in smiling and kind the women who work in the office are rude and act like you are bothering them by even coming in. It doesn’t make sense why they are so grumpy all the time.
For the longest time the only way to pay your bill was to mail in a check or go in and pay it. They have always sighed when we ask for a printed receipt. Recently though my husband went in to pay our bill. He was over in the area and decided to stop while he was close and pay our bill. He didn’t have our paper bill with him and so he kindly asked if they could pull up the amount we owed. He was told she didn’t have time for that he would need to come back when he could bring in the paper bill we received in the mail. This is literally their job to help the customers and take payments and she refused to do it. Clearly this isn’t a new thing as many people have reviewed them for years now about how awful their customer service is. It’s not that hard to be kind and if it is for the current employees then hire nicer people.

I respect the rules, am pleasant to the office staff and find them direct and brief. I don’t care if they are friendly or chatty with me.
My Nooksack bin broke but after one call it was repaired within four days.
I suggest they modernize their scale to the receipt shows the start, end and net weight.

We have had our recycling out - same sorting - same location since we moved here in 2008. Twice our recycling wasn't picked up in the last year for who knows why? The neighbors have theirs picked up...hmmm...

Hands down the laziest and worst company I have ever had to deal with. They did not pick up our garbage because the driver “thought” Our recycling bins were a little too close to the bin. So instead of taking 30 seconds to get out of his truck to confirm he just passed us by and didn’t even bother attempting to pick up the garbage. We were with sanitary service for seven years and never had one single problem with them and have been with Nooksack for a week and are already having problems. When I called the office for a When I called the office for an explanation, the staff was extremely rude on the phone. People who work here need to get off their high horse. The only reason they are even in business still is because they are contracted with the city. Too bad the city doesn’t get smart and cancel that contract to put these morons out of business.

All these negative reviews on a basic service are wild. Service has always been perfect in my neighborhood, way cheaper AND better than where I used to live. And I go to the dump / recycling center constantly for work. Once you understand the setup - it's no problem. People inside are always nice to me. A thankless job that needs doing.

1.7 stars says it all for this company. I wonder how they are still in business. Probably because lynden and Everson have contracts with this great, rude, racist, rubbish company and the poor people of these city's have no choice but to go through this 1.7 star company.. was at this company one day and witnessed the women in the office laughing and mocking a African American man . I'm not sure what or why he had gone in for but they thought he was funny in a rude way. I wonder what they say about others that have problems with their terrible behavior and services. I see they might have 1 or 2 5 star reviews out of a 1,000.. I do not recommend this company and their services unless you like rudeness and unprofessional people..

Dishonest business.
I took my truck here to unload some trash that had accumulated over a few days of work. I unloaded it all by hand in no more than 10 minutes, and it was in no way a struggle. When I went back inside to pay, they told me my total was $125. I asked how much weight I had dumped, and they said 750 pounds. I was shocked, there was no way. They offered to re-weigh my empty truck, which I agreed to. The total didn’t change. Stunned, I paid my bill and went on my way, still scratching my head at how I unloaded 750 pounds of cardboard and wood from my short bed F150 in 10 minutes. I eventually called back to ask for a copy of my receipt, which they failed to give me at the office. They texted me a picture of the receipt for the charge, but it did not have any weight details on it. I asked if they had a record of my weight in and out, and they said they “don’t keep track of those.” What? I will never come here again, I will be better off going to RDS in Ferndale.

I have been a customer of theirs for thirty two years. They are rude, condescending and miserable people to deal with. The city of Lynden forces their residents to use them because of the contract they have had with them since Moses walked the earth. The day before we moved, I was yelled at because I dared to get out of my car while it was parked on the scales to let them know that I wanted the trash I was dumping was to go on my house bill. I have NEVER missed a payment to them (384 to be exact), yet after we moved, I got a phone call from them insisting that I give them my forwarding address so that they knew how to contact me. When I told them to email me the bill, it was like I had just committed the cardinal sin of trash collection by refusing to comply with their requests. The City of Lynden can do much better than awarding a contract to these people.
