Counter service was excellent: I asked for something I didn't see on the shelf. The checker went out of his way to find it for me. I didn't want coffee: a server offered me tea, instead. I'll be back.

Good food , large portions. My family and I go here probably 3 times a year when we visit family up in Republic. I have only had the breakfast but have tried almost every item. The pancake combo can be split by 2 people. I prefer the breakfast sandwich on English muffin or the bacon and eggs I recommend.

Came here for breakfast after hearing good things, and it was AMAZING! It's higher end, so expect to pay $15 for breakfast, but then you can expect not to have to eat for the rest of the day as well. I got the #4: 2 pancakes and sausage links, with 2 eggs on the side, and boy the pancakes were the size of hub caps! And the sausage links weren't the flimsy little plastic things you get at big chain breakfast places, they were thick juicy sausage that were just so good. Highly reccomend this treat of a place!-hippie

We were there for breakfast Wednesday August 24, 2022. Very simple straight-forward menu. Thick bacon, even thicker ham! Lots of jam choices for bread, good hashbrowns. Note they can overcook an omlet so tell them how you want your eggs cooked. You are way out in the country, don't expect an exotic breakfast menu, expect tasty food & friendly service. Your coffee cup is always topped off. They get 5 stars because I'm in the context of what is available in the greater Republic area. They don't over-reach, they stick to basics and do them well. This is just 6 minutes east of Republic and absolutely worth the 3 mile drive to get there. Clean bathrooms. It is within their gas station/mini mart building, so you can do some last minute shopping as well.

We come here for breakfast when camping at Swan Lake. For years. We have always had small children with us from infancy, toddlers, on up. They are able to accommodate us. And friendly. I eat plant based and there are options for me . Not a lot. But they make an effort. Which I appreciate.

The restaurant at this place has very good food. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.I have to take away one star only because the dinner menu is overpriced. Like I said, The food is very good but it is still at a gas station and I don’t see spending over $20 a plate for gas station food. I bet that a lot of people pass it up and go somewhere else just because the prices are too high for dinner. Lunch menu prices are spot on and fair.

Let me start by saying " damn, that was good"!! Kat said the omelet and tomatoes were as close to perfect as she has had. She really loved the Pumpernickel rye bread. Reminded her of her childhood. As for the German sausage and eggs...man, was that good. Eggs perfectly done, hash browns crispy and the German sausage with just the correct char. Very very good!!!!

I wanted gas first. Wanted to pay cash. I went in. Guy at cash register just standing there waiting for a customer who was looking in his wallet. I asked him if he could turn my pump on. He said after he was thru with this customer. He was just standing there waiting. I went out to the pump, got ready and waited.....and waited.....and waited. Watched the customer drive off. So I went back in. The guy was standing there talking. I asked him again to turn the pump on. He forgot. Poor excuse. He could have pushed the button while he waited for the customer who was looking in his wallet. Instead I had to come in 3 times to get my gas. He was apologetic but inept.I then decided to have breakfast. The waitress ignored me. There was only 2 couples at tables and they were almost done. Finally I got up, getting upset by this time. I went up to the counter and the waitress was going through her stack of receipts not aware of anything else. I asked for a menu. Oh you wanna eat she said. I ordered a chili omelet. It was so salty! The omlet and the hash browns had a triple dose of salt. I ate half before I had to stop. I hate to complain but this complaint is necessary.I have been buying my gas and eating here since 1986. I have been loyal because of the service and food. I know the owner is new. I say you better train your people better. Pump attendants should be able to push the button on the pump while standing there waiting and waitresses should keep watch on their dining room and cooks should stop spoiling the food! Is this too much to ask???
