I called first to see if they had an item. When I got there they had the item at the counter waiting for me.

This Ace hardware is a godsend if you're working in this area and need something fairly common. The people here are friendly, the store is well stocked and is pretty much the only hardware store in the area, and thankfully they have a pretty good variety, so if you're in the area need something give them a shot

When you need something, Ace is the Place. The store is highly visible from the nearby roads. Parking is plentiful and handicapped parking spots included. The store is handicapped friendly and you might be greeted by this friendly little dog which seems to be the store mascot. The staff is real pleasant to deal with, knowledgeable and warm. When you enter you have that Ma and Pa store feel. Not like the large hardware retailers we know where it seems like you walk a mile to find an attendant to get help.I highly recommend this Store. My experience was Positive indeed.

I went in to buy a nut and I didn't know where to look. The sales guy#1 sent me to #10 aisle I browsed profusely throughout the endless bins and found 2 nuts that I thought were the size. I asked the same sales guy #1 "name unknown" elderly white guy with a tummy , if he knew these were the correct size he blatantly said he doesn't know and I should just go look. I asked if he knew specifically where it was and he said no. I asked how long has he worked here he said "I was gonna help you but now you can look for it yourself." I told him what great customer service he had and went back to look again . I saw a 2nd sales guy named "Mike" who gladly escorted me to the exact place where the nut was he also tested it in the bolt sizer and found it not even 2 mins. While I was looking frustratedly for 10 mins.Just an FYI; if you need great customer service with a smile look for "Mike". If you want drama go to the other person.Thank you very much Mike! He deserves to be the manager up in there. The other person should find another position that doesn't deal with people.

A bunch of rotten bastards. I went into this place yesterday. I was behind another customer. After he left the old b****** that was behind the counter stared at me and then said can I help you. I asked for self-anchoring bolts. He said what, I said to him, you didn't hear me the first time? Then the rotten b****** told me to go down an aisle and, and I stopped him and told him, this is my first time in here. I thought I better not complete the sentence. I get home and Google and read on the package what this a** has sold me. Bolts that need a drill and toggle bolts, plus hooks for a small frame. A self-anchoring bolt only needs a screwdriver to screw into wood or sheetrock. So, today I go back to this crummy place for a refund. And, to finish the sentence that I started yesterday. "This is my first time in here, and it might be my last." Helpful? He was anything but helpful. Begrudging. Gonna get what's coming to you? No, you've already gotten what's coming to you. That's probably why most of you in the stores that I go into behave like you do. You ain't making no money and your kinfolks are strung-out on dope and living in tents on the sidewalks and parks and everywhere that they can impose on the general public.

Went to get a exterior faucet part- vacuum breaker kit- . Could not find where it was and staff were unhelpful, so looked it up on ACE website and showed it to them. The staff took me to where it was and found it and was correctly marked for the item it was for, $1.69, and not incorrectly placed. Went to pay and even though the staff had the price tag in his hand said he could not sell it because the internet price was $7.99. After arguing said he can reduce to $5.99. but cant sell for $1.69 for what it was correctly marked. He crumpled the price tag and threw it away. I told him that Home Depot price was $3.49 and he would not budge on price and was very hostile. I have always bought from the neighborhood Ace as better to give them business than large box stores but not buying from them anymore.

Small hardware store, good selection of household staples, lots of fasteners. A bit crowded.

This hardware store is only a few blocks from me, so it would be the most convenient, but I've actually had an easier time finding someone to help me at Home Depot! The last time time I went there (which will definitely be the last time I go there), I needed a kitchen sink aerator. I brought a sample of the one that didn't have the right kind of threads for my faucet. An employee was finishing helping a customer outside and i caught his attention as he was coming back in and asked which aisle this common part was in. Rather than taking 3 seconds to say, "aisle 3 on the back right side" or whatever, he said, "let me help him get this line down 1st and then I'll help you out". I looked and saw a very long line of 8 or so customers. Really? you're going to ask me to wait until 8 customers are rung up rather than take a few seconds to give quick directions? If there had been a single other employee on the floor, i would have asked but had already looked and there was no one. That's poor time management. It's not like i cut the line and asked the cashier to get off the register to come help me; I asked an employee who was already walking around the store to verbally tell me what aisle kitchen plumbing is in. That was the last time, but the few times before I also received lackluster assistance. I wound up going to Fred Meyer after and THEY had what i needed (although their employee I asked also didn't know if they had a plumbing department, but that's for another review)
