Oddly rude to teenage customers. I get that the stereotype is that they steal and are up to no good but for goodness sake the staff is incredibly rude about it. Went in there with a group of three people when I was like 16 a few years ago and some very harsh words involving how our parents brought us up and how we didn’t listen were thrown at us when we just didn’t see the sign at the front restricting it to two students at a time. We were just going to look at some signs to get for a friend’s room, and the comments were extremely unnecessary and demeaning. We would’ve listened if someone had approached us politely and mentioned this and gone in separately. It was our fault for not reading the sign, however the reaction to this was very insulting, not only to us, but how we were raised and it was frankly terrifying at the time.

Helpful staff, when you can find them, and pretty good deals on things. The staff levels in store have always been problematic, and it remains my biggest point of constructive feedback.

Magnolia Ace Hardware is a great neighborhood hardware. They always have the items on my shopping list and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Really rude help and terrible customer service. People were unfriendly, refused to honor the price that was listed. They acted as if they were doing us a big favor by letting us buy something at their store.

I came to grab some wire bolts and ended up by several other items. The ladies there were so friendly and helpful!

Great little local Ace for the Magnolia area. You'll find all the essentials along with a few added extras scattered around. We come here first when starting any home projects and can fill in the gaps with either Home Depot or online orders once in a while.

I went into the store on Saturday, July 1 to request help/advice on removing caulk from 20 windows. A very tall man took me to the area to show me what was avail. He offered 1 suggestion, could not tell me how much I would need to purchase and advised me to "Just go to the home depot parking lot and hire someone there to do it." He then proceeded to walk away.I then overheard him with another customer telling him he could not help him with his paint albeit another employee had told the customer he could receive help at the front of the store. As a business owner myself, if I had an employee providing that type of customer service, they would soon find themselves out of a job.

Always helpful, friendly staff, amazing breadth of items. They seem to always have what I am looking for. So much more helpful than Lowe’s or Home Depot!

My kid went in with some friends to get some snacks. There were 5, 14 year old kids. The employee told these children they had to come in the store 2 at a time. My kid has hearing problems 40% loss. Didn't hear what was going on. The employee got up in her face and started screaming at her. At a 14 year old child. Way to behave there "adult". By reading other reviews, evidently we just need to start shopping at Lowe's.

I am a general contractor and spend thousands of dollars at Ace Hardware and they wanna cause me grief about returning an item I can't find a receipt for. The store Manager Tim was VERY aggressive when approached and actually accused me of stealing this item. Wow! they are out of control, time to start shopping at Lowe's and Home Depot!

They say to support your local businesses but this place has never been good to me. Firstly, you walk in and instead of a greeting you get an awkward stare down. It's like the employee is shocked you're walking into their living room until a few seconds goes by and they realize they are in fact at work. It's really frustrating. I had a lot of renovations going on from March 2020 til now and made several trips here out of convenience. Plus one star. They had most items in stock, saving me a trip to other hardware stores. Plus another star. Whenever you need paint, skip this place and either go directly to Sherwin Williams/Benjamin Moore/home depot or lowes. The staffer who helped me earlier this year when I asked them if I could buy some paint said yes and proceeded to play on their phone. Today I tried to make an exchange and when the worker couldn't find it in their computer, I had to keep it and pay for a new item. It literally had their tag on it and being America, we are used to being able to swap out and return especially when it was brand new and could be resold. I was flabbergasted and won't be returning ever again. I know that sounds lame, but honestly it was so lame that she stared at me like I was from outer space with three heads for not having a receipt.
