Friendly, helpful staff. The store is always clean and tidy. I enjoy the floral department arrangement the best: just as you walk in on the east entrance.

Best meat dept I've ever dealt with. The guy back there is a great salesman and I always end up leaving with more than I planned, but happily. It's nice to not have wal mart cuts of meat. Thanks Drew.

To start off, their Starbucks is great, but the Safeway is getting frustrating. We keep getting expired food. When you go to the store you don’t think that you’ll need to check the dates on everything you buy, but I guess you do when you go here. Very frustrating to get home and realize that today is June 4th and I bought meat that expired on May 17th…sick and tired of having this happen! My husband bought olives from there and opened it up to them being bad. My mother in law keeps buying expired food as well. What a waste of money! Don’t they hire people to make sure their food is still good??

Layout is really odd for a safeway. Workers discussing other employees and patrons. Seemed not appropriate. Keep it in break room. Not standing by registers.

Great experience with the bakery on Monday. I came in after dinner so probably around 7 looking for a cake. I saw Carrie cleaning up and was hesitant to bother her because I'm sure she wanted to go home. Excuse me can I bother you for a minute, I'm looking for a chocolate cake? Oh you're no bother I'd be happy to help you. Carrie then showed me the different offerings available and made me feel very welcomed. I did not want to be a burden but she made me feel very at ease and was so willing to help. Thank you Carrie! The raspberry chocolate cake was delicious btw!

Very expensive compared to other local stores. Pharmacy used to be very efficient, not now! We have noticed understaffed, have been there a lot lately, and available staff do not help at counter until there have been at least 4 people waiting.

Expired food everywhere. Bought hot dogs got home and noticed they where a week expired! Just opened a yogurt and ate a few bites and noticed it tasted bad and saw it was 4 days expired when I bought it two days ago. To top it all they still have a whole shelf of the same expired hot dogs for sale. They say sell by December first... It's the 30th now.

This is an exceptionally nice Safeway when compared to the other Safeway stores in the Spokane area. It is clean and most of the checkers are kind and courteous.

I was happy to see Albertsons remodeled and changed to Safeway but out of the last five times I have gone there specifically to buy bread they have only had their signature brand , honey wheat and berry, one time. I’m getting to a point now where I drive by and go on down to the store on Sprague because they manage their inventory better.
