This review is based on about ten visits. One of the worst managed Costco's I've ever shopped. The number of Costco's would be over thirty in a few states. Over a week ago, I shopped here after visiting the VA. I had four items and approached a cashier who was talking to her bagger. She was eating and complaining about life. There were no customers nearby which is why I approached. I stood there for at least a minute listening. I was not in a hurry and was chill. After a bit, seeing the bagger looking at me, she continued talking to the employee. I decided to back up my cart and go to another stall. The woman employee in her 50's grabbed my cart, halting my movement. The bagger began to shoot a scanner. I asked, "Can you let my cart go." She asked why, we are going to scan your items. I told her no, I'd like to go to another aisle. She let go slightly pushed it. Gave me a nasty look and said something rude. I ignored her, walked two aisle away. That clerk began scanning my items. The cashier from other aisle was mouthing something to me, laughing and mocking me. Another cashier nearby walked to her and joined her behavior. My transaction was quick and I took my cart to look for a manager. I had a employee in her 50's identify herself as a supervisor. I saw her name tag was a ten year employee but didn't identify herself as a supervisor. I told her what happened. I did nothing to provoke such humiliating behavior. The employees were still doing their actions. I went to the parking lot and called the assistant GM. He couldn't confirm if that was a supervisor I spoke to. I told the story. I said I think part of the reaction was possibly due to my veteran hat. I couldn't figure out why she and her employee friends mocked and made fun of me. It's sad to be at this age and get treated disrespectfully. I called Costco corporate but they told me they don't accept a complaint. As for the store.....I've seen employees be rude to other customers and the store is in disarray. Employees emulate supervisors and administration. In this store, I recommend a overhaul of the management and then slowly clean house of rude employees.

Compared to the valley location. This location has a better wrap on having welcoming employees and providing a better customer experience. There is always things to improve but the benefits of going to this Costco over the valley is exponential.Keep up the good work guys.

So I am from the land of Costco Corporate (Issaquah, Washington - it's where I grew up) and have literally been going to Costco since 1983 (first Costco was in Seattle, yo!) I've been to Costco's all over the country and even in other countries. I have multiple friends who work at Corporate and on the Costco magazine. I have always LOVED Costco. This is the Costco that is the closest to my ranch and my parent's estate, so this is the one we usually go to. The last couple of weeks, something has changed. The employee's have become very unfriendly and aggressive. The optical department refused to do measurements for me so I could ensure I was buying the right size glasses. Wouldn't check my ppd. (I'd just gotten both contact lens and eyeglasses prescriptions right there in their store.) Told me to "just go try things on." No, I want to be measured and then see what is available in my size, not just try on glasses randomly that other people have ALSO tried on (covid is STILL around, you know. And I've never had it and don't plan on having it.) They check cards now at the door (normal) AND again in the self check line (new), and literally stare/glare at you while you're ringing up your groceries and try to micromanage you. Even my super nonconfrontational elderly mother made a comment about how she felt like she was being treated like a criminal. (She is one of those people who won't leave negative feedback or speak up for herself, EVER, she'll just quietly leave and will no long patronize that establishment. For her to make a comment like that, you know she is very angry, even though she says it in the kindest most genteel way.) So sad, I hope this is not the way of the future for this once glorious location or the company itself. Next time I need to make a Costco run, I'll consider going downtown or to the Valley.

I have tried to call the tire center for 5 hours now and no one will pick up. when I talked to the administrative staff and told her I have called once every hour she said “wait” and put me on the other line again. Then called her again asked for help and for her not to put me on an empty line then said “one second” and put me back on the line to the tire center. It’s getting ridiculous

This has got to be one of the best Costcos on the west coast... or at least in Washington. Friendly staff, usually not understaffed, pretty large location, decent parking lot that is laid out logically, and plenty of gas stations. I've regularly been to the Portland, Vancouver, Tacoma, Puyallup, Federal Way, South Hill Spokane, and South Center Seattle Costcos and this one is by far the best.

Couple weeks ago Rhonda the woman who checks your membership to let you in completely stopped me and wouldn't let me in because she claimed it wasn't me on the membership account. She was completely rude and dismissive. I was thinking she had a bad day so I just left. TODAY she actually let me in but she followed me around the store. Like she wanted to catch me stealing something. Like dude?? Are you fr??

Ordered some winter tires, which were desperately needed as my all terrains were not holding on our ice roads :P They were booked out through Dec for appointments, but made room for me on a walk in. Nice people and they did a great job. Tires with install were nearly 30% cheaper than any other option I checked.

It is near impossible to cancel a membership for a deceased family member. It's like they make it difficult on purpose to avoid giving you any refund or credit. The Newport Highway Costco crew is straight up rude.

if you're shopping for toilet paper, you're good to go but avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Not only did the pharmacist demonstrate complete ignorance for immunizations guidelines, she also clearly showed lack of knowledge where HIPAA is concerned. Her histrionics, her loud voice, her inability to answer simple questions and her physical mannerisms, like throwing her hands in the air, backing away and shaking her head no, walking away, coming back, yelling, walking away again, hands and arms flying around. It was embarrassing enough for me, but I was very much embarrassed for her, her behavior, her words that made no sense (even when she was shown in writing) and her complete unprofessionalism which is on display for all to see AND HEAR. The manager, who was contacted in store immediately, was less concerned about getting to the actual answers of what happened or determining if the pharmacist was not understanding CDC guidelines and she needed some training. His response was "she told me xyz and I believe her". In the end, she called to tell me she was wrong and was misinterpreting the guidelines and she would be happy to accommodate. The problem with that is the Costco website is where one makes an appointment to get an immunization, there are drop down menus that all add up to determine if you are due for a specific immunization and allow you to make an appointment based on your answers. ALSO, I read the CDC guidelines before I went online to make an appointment and I had no difficulties in understanding and interpreting the written guidelines. So, no less than 20 people heard all about my medical conditions, I was pretty embarrassed and had to go somewhere else for my recommended immunization.

You have a lot of variety and you're a clean store. However, you lack accommodating people with Physical disabilities, meaning you DO NOT have enough electric carts for shopping. I was in a horrible car accident a few years ago. The accident was the other person's fault. The point is you have 2 carts and they are never available! That's just sad. Costco is a wealthy business and you guys can afford more than two motorized shopping carts! Yokes has 7 of them they are almost always available & Yokes is a grocery store. You're COSTCO & you're the 2nd biggest Costco in the world. Please do something about this and get more motorized carts. There's a ton of disabled people out there who need help, through no fault of their own. Thank you.

Costco made me very sad today. I have been really wanting the digital oral b toothbrush and saw that it was on sale for $99! I was stoked and tried to purchase. Sadly, it rang up higher than was listed on the price tag. Unfortunately, they wouldn't honor the price they had it listed at and I wasn't able to purchase it. I'm pretty upset.

Tried to do an exchange for some patio lights. Was told by someone at the exchange center to go get the new lights and then come back and do the exchange. As I was walking back to get them I was followed by a different employee who told me I had to give my already purchased lights to her. I told her I was following the directions I was given from the exchange center. I went and got my new lights and headed back to the exchange center I was literally chased down by a manager named "Jarell" who very rudely accused me of trying to shoplift. I told him I was following the instructions given to me by the exchange center. I pointed out the woman who was helping me and she confirmed that yes, she was exchanging the lights for me. He continued to be extremely rude and condescending while I explained to him that I was simply following the directions I was given. He then stomped off without an apology, most likely to go racially profile someone else. Pretty piss-poor excuse for a manager or whatever he is.

They don't sell newborn diapers but they literally sell every other size. Doesn't make sense.
