Did my taxes here for 2023... They did an excellent job making taxes done easy. Most the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They hit one little snag but got it fixed. I would recommend this block for others. I would comeback but I'm leaving the area in a couple weeks. Thanks again and be safe ?

H&R Block is a great place to get your taxes done. The prices are more than fair for what they can do for you, the advice they offer and the experience they can provide you with. Should you feel you have a bad experience with them in the past, give them another try and ask to be placed with a different Tax Pro than you had before, they will be more than happy to accommodate you, allowing you to have the experience you should have had on the first go around. Just remember, if you owe or get a refund, the Tax Pro is only the messenger, not the reason of your outcome.

Not a great experience if you have more than just basic taxes to file. I took a Roth IRA disbursement last year for a first-time home purchase, and was having trouble with tax software trying to enter this. I called the front desk at this location and asked if any of their employees had experience with this. I was assured that they did by the receptionist in a knee-jerk response. I was lied to and it became very clear that nobody in this office did.First I was "assigned" online to a different person than was actually doing my taxes, and person #1 was in no way forwarding my messages to person #2 who was actually attempting to do my taxes. I sent them my W2, 1098, and 1099-R forms and typed out all the relevant information and numbers about my 1099-R form. This was received by person #1. None of the information I typed other than the forms made it to person #2.Person #2 called and immediately began telling me that I owed somewhere between $5,000-$8,000 dollars in taxes due to my Roth IRA disbursement. I had to back-track and give her all the information I had typed to person #1. I then tried to explain to her that a Roth IRA is already after-tax dollars, you can withdraw withdraw contributions at any time without additional tax or penalty, and you can withdraw up to $10,000 in earned interest penalty-free for first-time home purchases. I even confirmed this with Vanguard beforehand and through other online resources. Person #2 informed me that both I was wrong and that Vanguard was wrong. I finally had to message her an article from H&R Block's own website that confirmed I was right. Well, I had to call and tell her, because all my messages were still going to person #1 who was still in no way forwarding my messages to person #2.She then tried to tell me that Vanguard's 1099-R form was wrong and I needed to call them to fix it. I called Vanguard again who said that the 1099-R form was correct, and that the person preparing your taxes needs to calculate your own tax liability. At this point I determined that this location was not a good choice. I contacted a CPA who immediately knew what to do and confirmed that Vanguard's 1099-R form was correct. He prepared my taxes and my refund was $2,100. All it required was filling out lines 19 - 23 on an 8606 form. If H&R Block had just told me that they didn't know how to do this it would have been no big deal. But the receptionist lied to me and told me that they did, none of my messages were going to the person actually preparing my taxes, and person #2 was attempting to figure this out on the fly and was horribly wrong. H&R Block would have had me incorrectly paying an extra $7,000-$10,000 in taxes and were very insistent that they were correct.

Filed my 2021 and 2022 taxes here, my taxes came back $300 short, and I've been waiting 2 months for my state refund, but the app still says not filed even though my tax professional promised me that it was. Unprofessional and not worth the waste of time.

Indeed a lack luster location. Not sure if it is the management which seems to change often or the staff but this H&R Block office has had issues for a few years now. Anticipate delays and a lack of professionalism you won't have to deal with at other H&R Block offices in the area. The work culture at this specific office seems too relaxed and unmotivated to work efficiently and communicate reasonably. The 1 stars in most cases are very accurate in my experiences at this location.

Only here until the irs paid off from your failure to represent. IRS is now paid off from their failure to represent. I would stay away from this company. They are a pack of lies

We completed our taxes yesterday. It was more complicated to do this year because of my mom's estate closing in 2022 so we made an appointment and went in person to H&R Block. Monica helped us and got us all sorted out! While in the office she sent me a code to create an account for uploading documents electronically which really helped for the 2 items I forgot to bring paper copies of. We'd brought everything else we needed and were able to electronically submit our completed taxes to the IRS after just an hour. We got a confirmation of acceptance from the IRS about an hour after leaving the appointment. This was our first time working with someone in person to file our taxes. I've been using H&R Block online to do our taxes for about 12 years and it always took me a couple weeks to get everything together and another few days filling it all out online to get everything submitted. This time was certainly less stressful and I'm happy with my experience working with Monica. I don't expect our taxes to be as complicated next year so I will probably try doing it myself online again but if I run into a snag I know where to go for efficient and professional tax help.

Filed taxes in February and still have not received our refund. Impossible to get in touch with the IRS and H&R Block will not help in any way. Don't waste your money using them because they are completely worthless.
