I'm in Spokane for a work conference, I have a mullet and tattoos, I'm gay. The gal that was checking me in was working on things an older gal walked by, gave me an up and down, looks at the screen and says "Did he ask for the floor your giving him? No? Put him on the ninth floor." Then to me, "You'll like that one better." I said thanks and didn't think anything of it.
The ninth floor seems to be largely housekeeping, I have seen one other guest on this floor since I've been here, and somehow, there was still laundry in the hallway and unvacuumed floors for half the first night I was here. House keeping hasn't come by until after 5pm every single night I've been here, and despite them coming, there have been dishes in my room since the first night and my sheets haven't been turned down at all. In fact, the bed was only made once. To top it all off, I ordered a 14 dollar cheese dip, and a double vodka to my room and let them know I was using a 20 dollar voucher they gave me, and somehow my total was still 28 dollars.
My rating would be much lower, however the servers and bartenders at the bar were extremely polite and helpful; and the rooms are nice, though I wouldn't use a more positive adjective for them. At the end of the day, I don't want to blame the house keeping. It seems to me like I was put on the last floor of some kind of rotation. I guess I'm not the "type" of guest they are interested in here, I'm very much looking forward to leaving in the morning. Save yourself the from the overpriced, middle-class, white "fancy" experience. Find someplace with character, I much prefer the Montvale.

Love love love this place!!! Great wine at the lounge. Food in the onsite restaurant was amazing!
The vibe of the hotel represents class and vibrancy! One of my favorite places to stay !

If I could give this hotel a zero I would. I was eating breakfast in their restaurant when I bit down on a piece of metal that jarred my teeth. The metal was in my hash browns and appeared to be a heavier duty staple. After pulling three-fourths of a heavy duty staple out of my mouth, I am wondering if I ate the other quarter of the staple in a previous bit. I called for a manager and the assistant manager came to my table. I showed him and we took pictures. He said the meal would be free, like I was going to pay for it. I asked that an incident report be made because I was not sure if I ingested the other quarter of the staple. A security person showed up and the extent of the report was taking my name, email, and phone number and ensuring I would get a detailed report the same day. Guess what, I never received a report so a couple of days later. I contacted the front desk and asked for the hotel manager. Of course, she is on a phone call, but they assured me she will call me back. I never received a call from her, but I did receive a call from the restaurant manager. He was so rude and said I would not be receiving a report nor were they going to take any other action to make amends. Needless to say, we had words, and he was so rude and unsophisticated. Also, the restaurant assistant manager, the restaurant manager, and the security person all admitted this had happened before, but the cause was wire pieces from scouring brushes they use in the kitchen. If all that is not enough, when I went to use a wash rag, this morning, it had lipstick on it. In addition, housekeeping does not clean all flat surfaces in the room. I strongly recommend you do not stay or eat at this hotel..

10/23- update review on the food at the main bar. Had the half roasted chicken again and it did not disappoint. I brought my colleague there and she loved the chicken too. I didn't stay this time because of the bad WiFi. Tried their dessert this time and it was one of the best desserts. See video!
I was staying at Fairfield Inn because I didn't know such a nice hotel existed in Spokane and it's a part of Marriott. So I was very excited to stay here this week for work. It's a very beautiful hotel. Service is good. Food at the bar was very good. But if you need good wifi for working in your room this is NOT the place to stay. In the lobby is fine but in my room, it goes off/on and now it's not even working so I can't even send anything out. I had to take my phone off of wifi too. The room is large and pretty. No smart TV with Netflix. Only regular TV. Beds and pillows aren't very comfortable. I hate to admit but Fairfield Inn has enhanced wi-fi, very comfortable beds and pillows and Netflix on their TV. I love nice hotels but not sure if it's worth it to stay here on my next trip back. Disappointed. ?
Rooms: Horrible WiFi and no Netflix on the TV
Food and drinks: Great food and drinks at the bar. Definitely try the half chicken!
Noteworthy details: Bed and pillows are not comfortable

Great hotel! The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. The hotel has a nice bar with food service as well as a restaurant. The location is the best part - there are views of downtown Spokane or the riverfront depending on which side your room is on. The riverfront trail system is directly across the street from the hotel. I deducted a star because I was told by the valet and front desk that self parking was $20 but I was charged $28.

This hotel is great. Definitely more fancy than I would usually go to, but the service is always great, staff is friendly, and the rooms are quite large. Views are good, beds are comfy, and the soap and shampoo are very nice.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at The Davenport Grand on multiple occasions, and each visit has been a wonderful experience. From the Gonzaga Christmas party to the night of our wedding, and most recently, our 1st wedding anniversary, this hotel has consistently exceeded our expectations.
The facilities are usually clean and well-maintained, and the staff are always helpful and courteous. The lobby bar is a fantastic spot to unwind in the evening, offering a cozy atmosphere and great drinks. Room service is convenient and adds to the overall comfort of our stay.
If you have the chance to book a Junior Suite, I highly recommend it. The extra space and amenities make for an even more enjoyable stay. You won’t be disappointed!
The Davenport Grand is our go-to hotel in Spokane, and we look forward to many more memorable stays here.

Provided nice credit vouchers for food. Pillows were a little flat but we were able to order foam ones that were delivered to the room. Odd thing though, this was our second visit here and both times there was a fire alarm.

Really nice place, but, man, did my allergies suffer here during the overnight hours. Noticed a nice layer of dust across the vent ducts in my room on day of checkout and figured out why. If you have dust mite allergies like I do, make sure you're on your meds.

I recently stayed at the Davenport Grand after a long 7-hour drive from Vancouver, BC, and I wanted to take a moment to highlight the incredible experience I had with one of your front desk agents, Amanda Funari.
When I arrived for check-in, Amanda greeted me with a warm, welcoming smile that instantly made me feel at home, despite my travel fatigue. Her professionalism, efficiency, and friendly demeanor were truly outstanding. In just a few moments, she not only made the check-in process seamless but also managed to lift my spirits. It’s rare to encounter such a dedicated and personable staff member, and Amanda’s exceptional service left a lasting impression.
Because of Amanda’s hospitality, my family and I have decided that the Davenport Grand will be our go-to hotel whenever we visit Spokane. I believe it’s important to recognize staff members who go above and beyond in their roles, and Amanda certainly exemplifies this.
Please pass along my sincerest thanks to her, and I hope she gets the recognition she truly deserves.
