If I could give a lower rating I would. I have had good experiences with the actual location, but my delivery person is worse than terrible. She does not deliver my mail if there is some snow, road construction, etc. Even though EVERY major delivery company gets their job done, this person makes every excuse not to. She seems grumpy to have to get out of her vehicle and deliver anything. I have been told that it is hard to get rid of a delivery person due to union issues, etc. I am going to complain in every way possible until this person is terminated or finds another route. I rely heavily on the USPS for my business. They are not getting the job done.

They have apparently tried to deliver a package to me that requires me signature. Yet no one has actually knocked on my door. But I get “sorry we missed you” notices in my mailbox. If it needs my signature come to my door. I work three days out of the week and it’s on those days you attempt to deliver but two of those days Tuesdays and Thursdays it’ll you do not??!!! What is your deal. There is an adult in my home who can sign for my package he’s my son. Very unprofessional

Just go somewhere else. USPS wanted to charge me $53 to ship out a package to Seattle. Package wasn't heavy, just a standard Amazon box. I went down the street to the UPS store and same box cost be $20 to ship to Seattle.

Unlike many of the reviews here, my experience has been superb. No issues with delivery, friendly staff, quick, efficient. Have been here 15 months, not a single negative.

The lines can get pretty long, but I'd blame congress before blaming anyone at this location. I've always had good interactions with the staff and the place is clean.

This review is for Megan at this location. The post office, like many businesses around America, have been extremely understaffed. This particular location is no different, and with Megan working there, the insult of being understaffed is doused tremendously. I look forward to seeing her face, as I enter the doors. She always greets the customers with a smile and attempts to resolve any noted issues, from what I've observed. Just one example of how Megan goes over and above: I walked-in to grab the contents of my P.O. Box and by the time I reached the counter, she had already placed all my packages on the counter and scanned them out, without me saying a word. She's observant, anticipatory, and kind. I enjoy this post office once again bc she is an employee there. Huge shout out to Megan!!!

This is the worst post office. The mail carrier, Robert Mitchell, has decided not to deliver my packages. I have talked to one of the managers but nothing has been done about him. Don't try to call because no one will answer the phone. ROBERT MITCHELL strikes again. Totally incompetent, rude and lazy, but he still has a job.

I have lived in VT, MA, MT, and the Greater Seattle area and this is one of the BEST post offices I have ever experienced. My husband and I moved from the West-side of WA into a new development. The packages and mail continued to get hung up due to “address unknown”. The employees working the desk, helped me understand what I needed to do to get my mail delivered and they communicated with the drivers to ensure delivery to the mail box as well. They spoke to me with a kind non-condescending tone and treated me as though I was a great friend. In my time working with anyone at the front desk, they all have the same professionalism. The employees at the South Hill post office by far supersede any other post office in the above mentioned states. Thank you South Hill for what you do and continue to do! I appreciate you!

Today I had an exercise bike being delivered. I got a notice at 9:21 am that the package was "attempted to be delivered" BUT "mailbox was full" - i live in a house, no fence, no dogs and how is an exercise bike going to fit In a mailbox? I go into the post office to inquire- I'm met with attitude and lackluster service. Allan, with the face tattoo, If you don't like or want to do your job FIND ANOTHER. From one millennial to another, find some happiness dude. Your energy sucks the life out of others. Come to find out, no one loaded the bike, and no one tried to deliver the bike. The bike was still at the post office. Allan slams it on the counter and tells me "you can take it after I scan in" ... thanks for the "help". How laughable. I'm 5'1 barely 125 pounds, but I am in good health, so I was able to, but what If all the elderly folks (the entire lobby was filled with 60+ year old customers) were told this? I'm just irritated with the attitude and negative energy. Allan, I hope you find happiness and peace within yourself, because I can only imagine how it feels to be so miserable you cannot muster a smile, and semi-positive tone - Esp when you work customer service. Time to reevaluate your life choices man.

They keep raising then rates of the PO boxes and never put any of my packages in a locker. I work normal ours and can never make it in to the counter when they are open. There ours are awful and not open any weekends ever. Other branches have weekend hours.
