Chelan-Douglas County Action Council has been so great! We have our students volunteer doing a variety of different tasks in helping our community at the Action Council. The amazing people working for the Chelan- Douglas Action Council have been so kind ,compassionate and accommodating to our students. They have learned so much as well as I have as a job Coach for the students!!!
This is an amazing organization with an amazing crew running it!!!!

This place we thought was a good sent when we were offered a tebra voucher after living in motel rooms for almost 5 years we couldn't afford room fees and move in fees. We have two disabled boys one who is supposed to be in wheelchair accessible only and we are up over 30 stairs with no ramp but it was all we could do. My twin ten month old granddaughters were placed with me April 29 th mom stays ten nights which per lease is allowed and tent or friends the rest the time I am battling cancer and on June 30 th my husband was admitted and we found out he has stomach cancer so there mom stayed 4 days over to watch her kids and her disabled brother's and I let everyone know this. And at our may review with page I told her I had the girls and no one told me I had put them down cause we hoped mom would find a home complete parenting classes and they go with momma so get notice because the girls were not on paperwork and mom stayed 4 nights to help while we were in hospital they have taken out voucher away and gave us a month to move so approach with caution please read everything and if it don't feel right don't do it. We already had a feeling we were being set up for failure because all Dr appt chemotherapy dialysis is all in town and we needed handicapped equip unit and we didn't get that and got placed 30 min from town. I'm disabled and as I age I tend to struggle with my ANXIETY. OFTENTIMES I over THINK the situation and make myself feel worse, but with the Caring staff & my caregiver and service dog Cerberus I am able to overcome my own personal setbacks and take a few more baby steps forward. Thanks for the SUPPORT of the community. I feel empowered to continue until I can get on my feet again ‼️❗⁉️
