We enjoyed our lunch of wings, a sandwich and a slice of lemon cake so much that we ordered pizza to go for dinner later that same day. The food and the service were excellent.Food: 5/5

The lobster ravioli here has been some of the best I've ever tasted. The cream sauce tastes is very flavorful. The pepperoni rolls are great for a sharing side. My husband's sausage and chicken pizza tasted phenomenal. Definitely get the reese's peanut butter cake if you want a sweet ending to your meal.Food: 5/5

Food is good, great even. Staff is friendly, but scarce. There's only one or two servers anytime I've visited.The atmosphere is... confusing. The main entrance isn't the main entrance but is. Yes, I typed that correctly. The main dining area is a back yard brawl football theme with bar in the very back of the building. Going in the front door leads to the original Calicinos dining room which is absolutely adorable old style pizzeria. It's unused.Going past the sign that tells you to proceed to the back, you pass through an unused bar area, completely shuddered. The bar us gorgeous and while it's smaller, it carries a classy vibe. Unused.The back is a bar with Marshall/WVU painted tables, deco, a cheap bar with some ball game. There's space for a karaoke stage with a projector, but it mostly displays ads for event nights, which us actually a nice way to do that. This is where they do all business.You can enter the side door directly, but it has a sign for WV video lottery on the door. It makes it look like your entering a gambling shack. If you enter the main door, you're shunted to the back, with no one to seat you. I'm not even sure if there's a seating rule. They just hope they notice you.There's a strong business here. There was one waitress here doing her absolute best with a nearly packed dining room. She was friendly and moving as fast as she possibly could. We wish she had help.

Born and raised in Beckley and upset in all my 32 years of livin, this was first visit here...Thank you Calacinos for sticking around all these years!Kid-friendliness: My kids love the food and the server was great with telling information for my little ones diabetes

Our family of four was hungry from a day on the road and found this place. It was a Saturday night and the night club side of the place was hopping with a live band and 80's night. The parking lot on that side was crammed full, luckily we investigated and found the restaurant open with tables ready. The Pepperoni rolls were heavenly, my wife and I split them to save room for an AMAZING piece of Reese's Cake. Soooo good. The philly cheese calzone and pizza that our kids had looked yummy and were consumed readily. Server was helpful and friendly. Great place to go if you are in the area for New River Gorge like we were.

When we walked in, we had no idea if we should take a seat or wait for a hostess. A few people were eating, so knew someone was around. Finally, a "regular" motioned to take a seat. After a few minutes, a friendly waitress claimed our order. Meatballs and spaghetti was great. The deep dish pizza was perfect. Loaded fries was crazy good looking, wish we would have ordered them. Maybe next visit.

Tiffany was our server. Not only did she handle us immaculately, we watched as 6 tables came in at once and they had drinks and apps 15 mins later. The service we received was a 5/5 & I just want recognition for her, because the money we left as a tip could never do justice than watching her single handedly run every drink, app , pizza & beer in the restaurant with her whole side of the dining room full. There will never be words that could describe the sure excellence in her service and the value she holds in this restaurant. The food was great too.

Ordered a large 1/2 and 1/2 for pick up, one side was the ranch pickle and the other was the philly cheese steak. The ranch pickle side tasted like nothing but dough with dried dill sprinkled on top. Very little cheese, dill pickles or ranch dressing. The other side was decent enough to be able to eat. Disappointing. I have ordered the ranch pickle before and it was awesome.

Excellent place to stop in to relax after work. Excellent chicken wings and pepperoni rolls! This is my go to lunch spot when my supervisor and vendor reps come to Beckley. Staff is always friendly and food is always fresh. One of the best places to see live music, attend motorcycle night, and throw some corn hole on the weekends. Food is made to order not just stacked up under a heat lamp. If you’re in a hurry call ahead or shut up and enjoy your fresh hot meal. One of the very few places that give back to the local community as well! Want a place with lots of events, good food, and a safe environment? Check them out!

This is the best pizza I've eaten in years! And I'm originally from NYC! The pizza was phenomenal and the sides were great too! They do something with the dough that just is heavenly - it's light and super crispy on the crusts, not heavy at all and not doughy or chewy; just the way I love it.We sat in the pizza restaurant, and the bar next door (which is connected) was playing super loud live music, which was good, but it was even better that their soundproofing was so well done. You couldn't hear the band from the relaxing restaurant, which provided a lot of appreciated ambiance.If you're within an hour of this restaurant, I highly recommend going out of your way to check it out, it's totally worth it and we will be coming back again next time we pass through WV.

Great pizza place…..didn’t disappoint! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, she recommended items as this was our 1st time. I would recommend the spinach-artichoke pizza along with the antipasto salad. We will be back next year when visiting….

Lack of ownership integrity altered our initial high praise for Calacinos Pizzeria on 28Dec22. After an adventurous day of touring the New River Gorge, my family decided to dine at Calacinos Pizzeria based on reviews. We enjoyed the delicious pepperoni rolls and three different pizzas until my son took a bite into the Meat Lovers slice of pizza and discovered a small black, rock-like, object mixed in the sausage.We conducted a humorous investigation of the small black, pea-size, sharp edged object to identify and not make a big deal about it. We did not intend to leverage this small foreign object for a free pizza; however, the waitress was notified of our discovery. Moreover, we did not eat the remaining slices from fear of breaking a tooth, nor did we want to dissect every inch of Meat Lovers pizza prior to eating it.Upon learning of our son's discovery of the small black object in the pizza, the waitress was apologetic and took the object in her hand to show the owner. She returned shortly with a message from the owner stating that the small black, sharped edged object was Peppercorn. I'm familiar with Peppercorn, the foreign object was not Peppercorn as the owner stated. The non-truth was a logical response from the owner to appease a customer. As mentioned, we were not seeking a free pizza. The owner authorized the waitress to provide a 25% discount on the Meat Lovers pizza. We paid and left.If the owner is willing to compromise integrity over a small thing, what else should customers beware of at Calacinos Pizzeria and Sports Bar?
