You’ll never be more belittled and leave with the feeling you’re a piece of garbage than you will at this location! Jarred is the rudest person I’ve literally met in my life especially paying $80 for a gallon of paint. He is rude, condescending and makes you feel like you should be blessed he’s selling you paint. Until he’s gone I’ll not be back!!

I would not recommend the Beckley, WV store to anyone. After spending hours choosing colors and learning that the only local provider for Benjamin Moore paint had a broken machine, I reached out to SW for help. I was told over the phone that they could color match if I brought in swatches. When I arrived at the store, I was initially greeted by a quiet gentleman. I shared that I had called and spoken to someone and was told they could color match with a swatch. I provided the first swatch and was asked about finish. I explained that I was planning to use the same color in my new kitchen and living room in an open floor plan and wasn’t sure about the finish. The other worker, Jarrod, cut me off in a harsh, abrasive, and condescending manner, saying there were three finishes and using different finishes would result in different colors. I then kindly asked both workers if they could provide recommendations on what finish to use based on the rooms I was looking to paint. Jarrod again responded harshly that they have three and SW uses flat for ceilings, satin for walls, and semigloss for trim. From past experience, I knew selecting a finish was not so cut and dry, so I called my husband to consult while in the store. I shared with my husband the information that Jarrod had provided and stated that Jarrod recommended using a satin finish on the walls. Jarrod rudely inserted himself into my conversation stating that he “didn’t recommend anything” and curtly said he wasn’t offering a recommendation and that’s “just the way we do things”. I again politely asked for a professional recommendation regarding the finish but he refused. Perhaps he was just having a bad day but Jarrod could use a good lesson in customer service. After his unprofessional and rude behavior, I took my swatch back and took my business elsewhere. This was very disappointing because I try to support smaller, local businesses but since Jarrod was not only unprofessional but unhelpful, I took my $450+ of business to the local Lowe’s where I was served promptly and efficiently by a lovely woman who was happy to offer detailed information about the FIVE finishes offered by SW and offered suggestions to help me make the best paint choices for my new home.

Excellent customer service and Help. They have a good amount in stock but if they don’t have what you need in stock they will get it to you very quickly. They are very knowledgeable and helpful

Ryan was so very helpful and patient with me as I went room by room on my project asking advice on paint types etc. He even went out of his way to get paint bright in for me the next day from a store a ways away.

Do not buy from this store! The employee at the store on 2/9/22 was so rude that I wint go back. Informed me that sherwin Williams does not give paint samples and that if the paint they give me us not the correct color I can not return it. He never tried to help me look for paint colors or anything.it was an hour and a half before they closed, he was locking the doors with me in there. I had to figure out how to unlock the door so I could get out.

I've been painting for over 30 years and have used many brands Benjamin Moore Valspar Pittsburgh and many many others. The last several gallons of Sherwin Williams have been the absolute worst. No coverage and very very inconsistent. After a discussion with the associate he's says they have never had a complaint. Wow it must be awesome to have a company that is perfect and never has had any complaints being that I'm in business myself I find this very difficult to believe. Just beware of the emerald I paid over fifty dollars a gallon and it is the worst paint I've ever used!

They did not have black and said they could make us the color. When we got home to paint the black was actually blue, and had bad coverage. The product is too overpriced to be incorrect. The entire experience was bad, so I recommend going to Lowes where the product is better and more affordable.

So I went into the BECKLEY WV LOCATION. In order to look at wall paper. I was in there for 3 mins 1 guy told me they wasn’t doing wall paper service at the moment . I asked if I could look and order online which he implied yes !So remind you i have now been in the store about 5-8 mins now . I’m assuming the manager named jim just runs up yelling this is closed . However your other kind associates allowed me to look at 2 wall paper books . Then he goes just order online , sir i was as I stated to your employees . However claiming I’m touching all the books when actually only touch 2 and placed them on the table like someone told me to do was just very rude . I was the only woman there and I feel like as a manager myself you don’t hound your customers even during covid-19.I will take my money and service else where .
