Yvonne & Jonathan are fabulous hosts. They accommodated our dietary needs (one vegetarian, one gluten-free) beautifully. Yvonne even texted me one day to make sure I knew one of the little sweets they had out was gluten-free! The Inn itself is also lovely. We stayed in the Shenandoah Suite and the enclosed porch with the room was a great space in which to chill. We were there for a trip to the Contemporary American Theater Festival is Shepherdstown. Lodging in Shepherdstown for the Festival fills up very fast, but staying in Charles Town is pretty convenient. This stay was terrific enough that we would do this combo again - stay at the Carriage Inn while seeing shows at CATF.

One of the best B&Bs we've stayed in. Yvonne and Jonathan were wonderful hosts. The inn itself has a lot of history and is tastefully decorated. Our bed was very comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. Downtown Charles Town is within a short walk. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, and we highly recommend staying at the Carriage Inn B&B.

Our stay at The Carriage Inn Bed & Breakfast was nothing short of exceptional. This charming B&B offered the perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and tranquility. It was essential for our 29th anniversary celebration.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the hosts, Yvonne and Jonathan. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Attention to detail in every aspect of the service was evident, from the beautifully decorated rooms to the personalized welcome waiting for us.
The room (The Robin’s nest) was a cozy haven, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated with a perfect balance of charm and modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless and well-stocked with everything we needed.
One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful breakfast served each morning. The hosts took great pride in preparing a sumptuous spread of homemade goodies, including freshly baked pastries, seasonal fruits, and delicious hot dishes.
The beautifully landscaped garden, complete with blooming flowers and a charming front porch swing, provided a peaceful retreat where we could unwind with a good book or have an amazing conversation.
What truly set this B&B apart was the personalized touch. The hosts were always available to offer recommendations for local attractions, dining options, and hidden gems in the area. Their genuine passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction, making my stay truly memorable.
In conclusion, The Carriage Inn Bed & Breakfast exceeded all our expectations. It is the ideal destination for anyone seeking a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. I left with a heart full of gratitude and wonderful memories, eager to return to this charming haven. Highly recommended!

Thank you Yvonne and Jonathan for your gracious hosting. We loved everything about our stay. Our Copper Beach Suite Room was huge and equipped with everything we would need including a personal screened in porch and Jacuzzi bathtub as well as our own coffee/tea set up. The common facilities were wonderful - living room, dining room, porch, yard, etc. The breakfasts were delicious and unique. Plus each afternoon featured a different little treat. At our request, we met Walker, the cat who responds to dog like commands - "sit", "give me your paw" Oh, we came Arlington for a weekend away to visit Antietam and Harper's Ferry.

This is hard to explain, other than it had a superbly comfortable feel. You could sense the history, and it has been very well looked after. Sure there are more well appointed places to stay, but it is a B&B and I may say the most satisfying of all that I have experienced. Breakfasts were superb. Hospitality far exceeded expectations. I was as comfortable as if I were home, warm and inviting, like a hug.

What a magical place. The house is elegant and welcoming. Yvonne is a wonderful cook: there were always freshly baked cookies and cake in the dining room, and breakfast is a savory and sweet perfection. We actually skipped dessert at the restaurant so we could come back to the house to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of her pumpkin chocolate cake, while sitting by the fire in the front room. We felt like we were visiting dear friends. This is the best place to stay in the entire Eastern panhandle.
The house is within walking distance of the historic downtown, and many different restaurants and shops. Lots of parking off street. My son has trouble sleeping but he slept very soundly in our suite. Comfortable rooms. We are looking forward to our next visit. I will come with gifts too for our lovely hosts- our new friends.
Came back for another visit. This is my favorite place in the Eastern Panhandle. First visit was no fluke. Yvonne is just charming, period. Wonderful cook. Carriage Inn is the epitome of Southern charm without being cliché.
