Arrived at 9:45 their sign indicates they open at 7. Greeted by "what do you want?" Not a single pot of coffee was made. I attempted to order a latte only for her to realize the espresso machine was never turned on. She barked at me that it would be awhile and disappeared to the back. How does a coffee shop not have coffee? But that does explain why you can't even smell coffee when you walk in. HORRIBLE!

The coffee was very good, food was ok. It's the ambiance of this place that drew us back for breakfast two days in a row. Great staff, fun place to eat.

The owner is frustrated as you have the hours wrong and they can’t change them. They do not know where you get your information but they are open 7 days a week. Thanks

My husband and I ate her for brunch on our trip to St. Ignace in June 2023. I ordered the Kaymak and my husband had the veggie breakfast sandwich, both were delicious! The coffee was also very good, we bought a bag of the house coffee blend to take home with us. The amazing thing about Java Joe's is the vibe - bright colors, lively atmosphere, nice people working there. Joe stopped at our table to ask where we were from and give us tips on what to do in the St. Ignace area. The waitress gave us coffee to-go at the end of our meal. I would definitely eat here again the next time I am in St. Ignace!

If you are going for the coffee, don't bother. The espresso was worse than a bad hotel coffee, and the price was high. The girls who served the coffee were nice, the owners very rude.

Ate breakfast here because our motel didn't have it. You have to go for the atmosphere if nothing else. Great ice cream too.

This was hands down the best breakfast we had on our trip to Mackinac island including the days we spent at the Grand Hotel. Great place. Don’t miss it.

The breakfast here was amazing, the reviews don’t lie, this place is a must visit when in Saint Ignace. I had the crepes and my boyfriend had the corned beef hash. We were in the clean plate club that morning. Coffee and service was excellent as well.

We had breakfast at Java Joes. It was truly quite an experience. It took us back to the 60s. Joe and his wife Sandy reminded us of “old hippies”. They’re a great team working together like a well oiled machine. It’s a small place, very friendly and welcoming. I had the pleasure of eating Joes home made yogurt. I’ve never had yogurt like that. It was SO good. Our breakfast food was delicious. This place is something to be experienced and enjoyed. Don’t miss it.

We went to Java Joe's because our son recommended it. Now we will be recommending Java Joe's too. The atmosphere is so 60's from the diner's interior to the VW beetle parked out front, and the paintings on the building itself. We enjoyed visiting with Joe while waiting for our meal. He was very knowledgeable about the area, and very friendly and funny. My husband had the western omelet, which he said was delicious. I had the banana pancakes and they were really good too. If you are in the area, try out Java Joes.

We had a great breakfast on the patio and were served by Java Joe, the owner and the very friendly staff. The prices are reasonable and the ambiance very good. This is a funky little place with character. A must not miss experience..

We had breakfast here. I'm not a fan of traditional restaurant breakfasts and Java Joe's had a number of appealing choices for non-egg-eaters including a parfait with homemade yogurt and granola, which was yummy. The typical bacon and eggs were good too. The decor is super cute, with lots of eccentric teapots. The owner chats with all the diners and gave us some great advice for our visit to Mackinac Island.
