The service was great and our waitress was super friendly. Not only that, but the food was just as good. It was plenty empty when we had visited for lunch so our food came relatively quick. The trout dip was delicious and the hamburgers as well. Overall, a good choice to eat when visiting the area.Kid-friendliness: They had a kids menu with good options and portions.Parking: Not a lot of parking around. Didn't have too much of a problem finding parking when I had gone but there is limited street parking. On a busy night it might be hard to find.

Came here after a long hike at the Blackwater Falls. The chicken pot pie really hit the spot, classic comforting food. Biscuit was really crispy and fluffy inside. The buffalo chicken Mac and cheese could have been more flavorful.Food: 4/5

A very nice but casual restaurant in Davis. They have daily specials and good service. They have a bar area and sometimes features live music area. I enjoy eating here when I visit Davis.

It was my favorite bar I've ever been to. The owners are so nice, helpful, and happy. I can't wait to go back! It will be my first stop in Davis.

My husband and I took a weekend trip to Davis and Wicked Wilderness was my favorite food on the trip!He had the pot pie and I had the pulled pork sandwich and both were delicious. They don't have a huge menu, but the things they had all sounded good!The service we got was fast and friendly.We got there around 5:30 on a Saturday night and there was plenty of seating but it was filled up with a few people waiting by the time we left around 6:15. A fiddler was playing live music while we were there as well, which was pretty cool!

Great service, people, and food. The violinist , Joey, was AMAZING!! Played every style of music and Tom requests. Made for a great evening. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Will go back our next visit !

We just are there and had the best burger I’ve ever had. Just a perfectly done amazing bacon burger. My wife got chicken tacos and she said they were also amazing. Could not ask for better service with personable people, our food came quick, I could not ask for anything more from a restaurant and these folks nailed it. If your driving through looking for something to eat, definitely give it a try!!!!

We visited this restaurant on our last evening in the area. I'm so glad we did. Our waitress was just the best. So friendly and so attentive. She seated us in a very comfortable booth and then made sure to show us the seasonal cocktails which are created by their bartender. We each had one (different ones) and they were fantastic. We both got the chicken pot pie which was amazing, especially on a cold, rainy evening. It was huge so we left stuffed to the gills. Compared to the very unfortunate experience we had at another restaurant near Davis, it was so nice to be warmly welcomed and know that our business was welcomed and appreciated.

Great little restaurant in town. We split an order of the Pepperoni Rolls, definitely get marinara and some of the house made ranch with them. The chicken pot pie was delicious and very filling, my husband said his burger was good too. We will be back during our next stay!

I'm torn writing this review. Wicked Wilderness is one of handful of finer dining spots in this small town of Davis and they present themselves outwardly that way. The decor / ambience is pretty decent. They also have live music playing on Saturday nights. However, our experience last night was a huge miss in at least a couple different aspects. For starters: the service. No one seated or even acknowledged us and the other guests waiting for maybe a good 10-15 minutes, even though they had at least three waitresses. Took so long that one couple behind us eventually left and another seated themselves at the bar. However, eventually an older lady let us know she'd get to seating us soon, and she was a really sweet waitress once she had the bandwidth to serve us. The other issue was the food. I ordered the white pizza flatbread and the entire thing was flavorless. The mushrooms came out of a can - yuck! - and the asparagus may have as well - it was too soft and flavorless for me to tell. My partner ordered the pot pie but said the chicken was a bit odd and very limited in quantity, and said it was like eating chowder with the biscuit. However, the desserts helped redeem the experience - the brownie with ice cream was nice and gooey and my pumpkin cheesecake was home made and decent. Finally, another redeeming factor was the price was really cheap. So 2.5 star for food, 3.7 star for service, 4.5 star for ambience, and maybe 4 star for price. Overall, maybe a 3.6 star experience.

Service was super friendly. There was even live music, Jimmy on the Fiddle. We enjoyed our dinner so much. Would recommend this place if you’re in town.Chicken pot pie was delicious!

Slow Friday night in Davis - only a couple of other couples but the bar area was busy. Had chicken pot pie and it was great. Big fluffy biscuit "pie" on top of a great creamy chicken vegetable "pot". Most excellent. My wife had salad and black bean soup, which she loved too. Waitress was great. Attentive but not over bearing! Full bar plus Local beers and others on tap. Good variety. This has to be the best place for dinner and a beer in Davis.

We are visiting the area for the first time, and happened to stop by here. I'm soooo glad we did! The service was friendly and prompt. The food was prepared well and tasted delicious. The menu was a little sparse, but everyone in my party found something, and we were pleased. The craft beers on tap were really good too. Basically this place was great! You should eat here!

I write this to be more as a warning for unsuspecting diners. If you have a large party you may really want to consider another place if you will need to split the check. Also you will not be allowed to move tables together. There was just us two couples and the only way they begrudgingly would split the check was straight down the mode and if we both used a card. The waiter (with the gauge) was not very friendly. Not rude..but really was aloof with us. We were the only ones there when we arrived. Food was okay. Really disappointed as it was a cute town and were excited to check it out. However, the falls nearby were magnificent! Will try a different restaurant next time we go.
