This is a drug store that is the way an old time pharmacy is supposed to be, complete with a soda fountain and ice cream and people who remember you and know your name and needs. A perfect gem in a small town.

Great experiences with Big 4. Pharmacist Mark was nice and helped me learn how to use the glucometer when I had gestational diabetes. Big 4 is one of the places that makes Hinton feel like home. Go in for an ice-cream, mess, and a birthday card. No push of drugs or shots. Quality products. Plenty of selection. Great service. Exterior is also stunning.

Me and two of my friends came down from Concord to watch a movie at the local movie theater. We had grabbed a bite to eat at the local sandwich shoppe and decided to walk around the Hinton until it was about time for the movie. We ran into the Big Four on this aimless journey and I could not have been more impressed. It felt like a blast from the past, a quaint little shop with pleasant decor and polite and friendly staff. They had an ice cream bar and a soda fountain, and not only are the prices beyond reasonable, but the quality and quantity of the various sweet treats are almost immeasurable. My friend bought some candies that I am not sure exist anywhere else. It is places like this that make WV a truly unique and nostalgic area. If you find your way down there way, my advice would be for you to stop by and feel truly entranced with what a small town can produce.
