I have went to this store since it was built as Super America. I cannot believe Speedway cant afford to pay more than one person to work the night shift especially on weekends and more so on holiday weekends!! I was there around 11pm or so on Friday July 5 and it was PACKED! One older lady working by herself and was totally overwhelmed and stressed out as anyone would be! I was in there another night and the same lady was working and was very busy. I needed to do a propane exchange so she had to leave the register unattended and come outside to get the propane! What makes it worse the lady manager was still there and the clerk asked her to help and get the tank for me so she didnt have to go out and leave nobody in the store. The manager refused and told her she had already clocked out for the day!! Surely Speedway can do better!!

Speedway in the West end of Huntington used to be a all right place to stop. I stop in there quite a bit and especially the past week. I have stopped in there the last two nights and I have received the most negative personality from one person! Tonight was the worst of the two. There were two women there when I got there. One I don't know the name of. She has an accent and the other one. Her name is Melissa. Before I got to the register she was having a verbal confrontation with a customer over something. I'm not exactly sure, but I think it was coffee. When I got to the register. I explained to her that no one has changed out the Pepsi or Coke on the fountain machine which is what I was there to get. So I bought a bottle of pop instead and got a cup of ice. Was she proceeded to charge me for the cup of ice and that's what upset me. I understand it's a normal procedure but when you're too lazy to change anything like the soda machine which is one of the most popular things in the store and you're too lazy to change out the old empty boxes or whatever for new ones. You think you'd be a little bit more considerate with a cup of ice? I buy fuel there cigarettes there pop there three or four times a night. I drive for Uber and I drive for a wrecker company. I want name but for all that spending I do. Someone made a big issue over a cup of ice so I will not be buying anything else there. Sorry to say goodbye but that's just how it is when you hire someone who has issues with people. If she doesn't like the people coming in there, maybe she should consider employment somewhere else or some other type of employment because she sure doesn't fit there and the other one is pretty much the same way. I've dealt with her on route 60 there by tutors. She has a bad attitude as well. It's like they don't want to sell anything. They don't want to do their job when it comes to changing the soda but they want to stick by the book on a freaking cup of ice. Give me a break

I giggled reading the negative reviews for this place, mainly because people couldn't get their shmokes, hon. The others appeared to be possible ex-employees with no love lost between themselves and management. I had a positive interaction with a male manager who was accommodating and kind. There is a massive construction event occurring here, but entry is accessible.

My daughter was scared to get out of the car. Lots of people loitering/soliciting. Donuts she went to grab from case had bites taken out of them. The drink area was soaking wet with spilled slurpees and soda, my daughter even started to slip once. Some were newer spills, some was dry and sticky. My phone was charging in the car otherwise I wish I had it to take photos. The cleanliness is just terrible inside and out.Also, I realize drink straws are being kept behind counter but you should still supply straws for the big slurpees, not just a straw barely bigger than a stirrer. That’s all they had supposedly. Would have been nice to know before purchasing.

I go to this speedway all the time. I don't really like going in anymore. It doesn't feel safe as they allow homeless men that approach me begging for money to hang out in the store and outside the store. Then Mike is rude and inappropriate. This particular speedway is going downhill. Roger doesn't seem to care. Noone wants to stop at a gas station where you are walked up on every single time by men wanting money and if u say no they beg u to buy them a drink. I don't mind helping but I don't feel safe. I feel compelled to give scared to say no. I just think your managers could care more about the store cleanliness, and customer service. Instead of blowing your concerns off. Sorry for the long review. I just hope to warn other women who stop here to beware of your surroundings and don't expect Mike or anyone else to help he is to busy talking about and making fun of other customers.

Madison Ave speedway needs better management. There is several really great employees that should be managers the one lady has been there for yrs and one of the only ones I see actually working.

Nancy needs retrained. Honestly at this point fired. She is rude talks about other employees. She screams and yells at people calls ppl theirs but will stand right beside of her friends while theyfill huge cups with creamer and stuff their pockets. She says she's the only one that works however the store is always a wreck when she's on duty unless their us a new hire to boss around. Im sick of her bad attitude and the way she talks about everyone customers included. I wish they'd review cameras and see all this. New hires would stick around if negative Nancy didnt run them all off.
