I’m very pleased to have found this salon via suggestions from coworkers. I have below shoulder length, fine very curly hair…they definitely know hair here! I also appreciate how kind everyone is, especially the owner Doug. It really shows that they care about their customers. I hope this salon is around for a long time!

Doug is so gracious and accommodating. After doing hair for as long as he has, he is still contientious and wants me to love my cut. I always do. I even sent my daughter here. She sees another stylist, and her hair always looks amazing. Highly recommend!

I had my first appointment at this salon today with Maggie. Maggie has been my stylist for years. She is so talented. My color and cut are always on point.
The salon is very welcoming and comfortable. I look forward to returning soon.

Doug is the man!
He uses straight razors like they are paintbrushes. I have never met a barber so skilled at their craft. Not going anywhere else but here for my hair cuts. Can't recommend them enough. Doug still has clients from the 80s! That proves how loyal his customers are because his skills are amazing.

When I first moved in I West Virginia my hair got messed up by another local barber shop which shall not be named... Doug fixed that. Truly a master of his craft, who has a passion for cutting hair. It's easy to see why he is booked so far in advance!

Love me my Beth Hardman. She is an excellent colorist and hairstylist. She can do a custom cut just for you and custom color. Give her a try.

Don’t know about the other ladies who work here so I’m sorry for the one star but so disappointed that a conversation I had with the stylist Beth was put on blast on fb and only the parts to make me sound like a bad client and not the parts where I said thank you for all she’s done for me and apologized for any miscommunication and I blocked her because it was giving me so much anxiety and I’m trying to cut out all negativity in my life right now. I’m so disappointed that I lost a good hair stylist but even more sad that I am now being made fun of on fb over me being confused about my appointment with her and genuinely was just asking why I was rescheduled when she posted another clients hair that she did today, I had no clue what time she did her hair but instead of being professional with me she blew up and sent long messages to me that she doesn’t have to explain herself to me…first off I’m not going to want to communicate with someone who lashes out when I’m the client and I was wanting to pay for a service she performs and I was confused and wanted to clear it up like adults? And second then to be posted on fb to make me out to be the bad guy and people don’t even know the whole story?? And then she argues with my cousin who was trying to defend me and ask that the post be taken down. I guess everyone has a horror story with a hairstylist and this is mine.

What an experience this has been. In January I had an appointment to get a balayage. I began to have an extremely hot and painful reaction in one spot on my scalp. Beth pulled the foils from my hair and ran me to the water. This moment bleached my shirt I was wearing. It ended up causing burns and welts that were open on my head. Right away I was questioned about my medications, water at my home and the products I use at home. I left with wet, half bleached hair and it was dry and an absolute mess. I was understanding of this since things happen and it didn’t seem to be anyones fault. I was called by the owner and offered my requested service at a later date at no cost. This was a very generous offer and unneeded. I would have happily paid for the service in the future. It took 4 weeks for my scalp to heal in the spot that blistered and welted. I called back to make another appointment. I was told they would do this and that to make sure it didn’t happen again and to make sure I would be safe. This was appreciated. So I make my appointment for over 1.5 months out. I get a call a week after making the second appointment and was asked to come in for a consultation. I agreed and came in on the date and time they indicated would be best for the stylist. I showed up and was greeted, then the front desk girl walked to the back and got on the phone with the stylist who wasn’t there… so I am sitting there for 10 minutes waiting and then she comes and sits next to me and tells me “her kids are sick” and she isn’t here and that she “forgot about it” indicating she forgot my appointment. Pretty sure I heard the girl on the phone say “I was hoping she wouldn’t call back” to the stylist while laughing quietly. I am a VERY understanding person, but seriously? I don’t live close, and work evenings. I got out of bed early and drove up there for NO REASON. And then they have the audacity to offer me a ‘30 minute massage’, I don’t want that. I wanted a freaking phone call, text message, email or carrier pigeon telling me the consult was canceled or that the stylist just didn’t want to do it. Ruined my hair, burned me and wasted my time.

Ambiance of the place is beautiful and staff is very friendly. But I got my first eyebrow wax with Mariah today and initially I thought it looked okay, but once I got home and took a closer look I realized the work she did was very sloppy. The session lasted less than five minutes (which should've been a red flag) and she left lots of stray hairs, which I then had to clean up with tweezers. I feel like I could have done a more thorough job myself and saved the $20. Plus there was still a little wax stuck to my face, which I have never experienced after a brow service. Would not recommend this place for waxing services.

I am a new client and have been very pleased with this salon. I have very thin hair and it was nice to have someone listen to my concerns and come up with ideas. Would recommend!!
