After seeing the pool I was excited swim with my kids, however the owners have not supplied the requested battery for the pool lift. It is so frustrating when hotels choose not to care about people with disabilities. The battery has been requested but the owners won't approve it? Come on. Do better.Noteworthy details: NOT ACCESSIBLE

My stay was nice enough. The room was dated but comfortable. Check in and check out was easy and quick.

The only elevator isn't working. Front desk staff must be used to telling guests to carry their luggage up to the third floor, because there wasn't any sort of apology for the inconvenience. The room keys didn't work properly. Front desk explained that the locks are installed upside down and have to be lifted. The room is okay, but the price charged for such a mediocre hotel is crazy high. Definitely not worth the cost. We will avoid the Staybridge brand and this location.

Got to the hotel around 5 pm and was told the room was still being cleaned. After some texting back and forth with the housekeeper on her personal phone, the front desk person said we could go ahead. During this time, she was also taking a personal call with her earbuds, which I felt was not professional. Then, in the room, we found that the couch's pull out bed was not made, and the mattress was covered in old fake rose petals, tons of crumbs, and a very nasty red stain... not to mention the main bed which had hair on the sheets under the blanket...It was an awful experience, and we won't be returning.

This is the hotel from hell. I spent over $4,000 staying here because I'm working in Madison for 4 weeks and needed accommodations. The hotel says it's nonsmoking, but the place reeks of marijuana 24/7. The marijuana and cigarette smoke flood in through my bathroom vent, triggering asthma attacks every day and every night. I have throbbing headaches from it, my eyes are constantly watering, and I cannot breathe. I have had to go to the hospital and have maxed-out on medications due to the amount of smoke in my room.I have contacted the front desk a dozen times. Emailed the help relations line every day. I have text-messaged the help line. And although they all know exactly which guest is smoking marijuana- they refuse to do anything about it. They have not offered to move my room or to move his room so I could live somewhere without smoke pouring into the vent. They have refused to offer any compensation or discount or reward for the health problems it's caused me. The help line was very rude when I said I was having asthma attacks and told me they would refund my hospital visit. However after talking to the manager they refuse to pay for any hospital visit caused by their smoke. They refuse to let me terminate my stay early with full refund. I simply do not want to be next to his room so I can breathe at night, but they wont move his room or even upgrade mine to a different one.In addition - my room is filled with stains, mold, and water damage. I am on the third floor and the elevator has been broken the entire duration of my stay - with absolutely no effort to call someone to fix it. The hot tub has been broken the entire duration of my stay - with no effort to fix it. The breakfast says it closes at 9:30am but when i went downstairs at 8:59am they were already closing. The dinner snacks also close a half hour to 45 min early. I would think that after paying $4,000 I would at least be allowed to stay in a room where I'm not having asthma attacks every other night and need to go to the hospital. I cannot believe they won't do a single thing or offer any sort of help or compensation for this situation. At this point i'm going to see if the other guests complaining would like to file a lawsuit, this has been an absolute nightmare. Worst stay of my life - do not come here!!! I honestly feel like this place is hell on earth. Absolutely disgusting.

Elevator doesn't work, the keys to the room don't work and you have to be let into your room. They wouldn't let us cancel our reservation, even though the hotels not even in an acceptable operating condition! Saw multiple guests that were upset and asked to speak to a manager, was told there is no manager on duty, and nothing could be done until the morning. Multiple guests that were told they couldn't cancel the reservations. The clerk at the desk was being snarky with people. This hotel should not even be open right now!!!

This hotel has great service and rooms - full suites with well-stocked kitchenettes. There is a great complimentary breakfast every morning, and as of Aug 23 there is a happy hour on Mon-Wed with free snacks and wine. The management is very helpful and receptive to feedback. For example, I suggested that coffee be put out earlier for guests who need to leave before 6 AM. The very next morning, the coffee was out before 5:30 AM! It is great to see a hotel pay such attention to guests' suggestions! This location is on Madison's far east side, a bit far from downtown but near 151 and 90.

The staff were great but the room was a just.....used up. The chair was torn badly and the amount of mold in both bathrooms was no Bueno. Thankfully, we were staying only the one night. I have stayed in plenty of Staybridge multi room suites with no issues, but this one was rough. That and the room key wouldn't let you into the pool itself, so you had to have the front desk key you in.

Wish we would have known that the pool would be unavailable. No blackout curtains in the bedrooms, but there were in the living rooms. Beds were small for 2 adults. Further than I thought from the University. Many places to eat in the area. Wonderful complimentary breakfasts--just wish it was till 10am. Glad we could bring our dog but should have been put in a room with less traffic/distraction.

Tried to use the hard wired hair dryer in the morning and it crackled, sparked, and then stopped working. It happened multiple times even when not being used. Went to breakfast area and directed not to use the toaster and microwave at the same time as it will trip a breaker. Serious concerns about the electrical situation in the aging hotel. Many other esthetic issues as well. Do NOT recommend.

The pros of this hotel are that it was in a good location, the bed was comfortable, the employees were very nice, and the food at the happy hour on Monday thru Thursday was really good. The hotel itself looks good at first glance, but we had multiple issues. The electric stove in our room sparked when I tried to use it and never got hot. Neither phone worked, and the heat ran at full blast, heating the room to 78⁰ even though it was set to 65⁰. Maintenance never showed up to fix the heat, so we just turned it off. The toilet flushed but not well and kept getting clogged. Maintenance plunged it and then walked out while holding the plunger down, dripping nasty toilet water all over the carpet and hard floor on his way out. The pool and hot tub are chipping, and chunks can be found at the bottom. There is also a gross ring around the hot tub too. They clearly didn't clean in the pool room often. 2 of the four clothes dryers available were broken, and all 4 washers were moldy inside the gasket.

From my initial contact with Nicole at check in, throughout my entire 4 night stay, the staff at the Madison Eastside Staybridge provided some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. They were so helpful, gracious, understanding, and prompt; just a pleasure to interact with. Of course, we found the room and entire facility clean and in good repair. If you want to feel pampered at a hotel, I believe you will find it here. This is my new favorite Madison hotel. Thanks to the staff and management of this Staybridge Suites for such an enjoyable stay.
