Owner was friendly and very welcoming. Picked up some books for our cabin collection. There was a wide variety and vast selection of books to choose from! I'll shop here when I come up north from now on. Highly Recommend!

Remains a 1st class store since I first went there in 20 years ago. Wide variety ot children's books. Excellent selection of Magazines and books of the area. The sent of books makes it worthwhile to walk in and browse.

This store was the highlight of my day when I would visit minocqua multiple times a year. I regret ever supporting this store they completely blew me off when I had asked if they would consider being more allergy friendly. I had just asked if they could consider not having a candle lit. I never said to "stop selling candles." Which the owner tried to imply I said. I have gone to this store since it had opened and would buy 10+ books a visit. I haven't been able to even browse for books the past two years because of a candle being lit. Scents can throw me into a anaphylaxis which is a life threatening condition. As a book lover thank you for ruining my experience in your store.

I love to patronize local businesses, especially ones that carry books that compliment the north woods but consistent with other reviews, the staff is just downright rude. Both people working made no effort to hide their annoyance at patrons, whether checking out or browsing. But, from years worth of reviews calling out the rude staff makes it clear that it wasn’t a one off. It was enough to make me leave a review and say good riddance.

Adorable bookshop in Minocqua. Excellent selection of Children's & Young Adult titles, as well as speciality magazines and darling paper products (notecards, postcards, etc.) Lovely store with the delightful aroma of fresh books. Left the shop with a few new fiction selections, an aviation magazine, a satisfied 16 year-old son and a very happy 10 year-old daughter. Young lady manning the register was welcoming and helpful even though we arrived just 15 minutes before closing time. Worth the stop - we'll definitely be back.

While in the store the clerk posted a sign stating “the store will be closing at 4p sharp.” The store was busy so I decided to stop back before 4p to buy some books. Came back at 3:40p & the door was locked. Still had the 4p closing sign on door. You lost a sale & a customer.

Another place we always check out when we're in the area! As expected, they've got a good selection of books and have helped me out of a pinch or two when I read through everything I brought along. Just walking in is worth it for the smell!

If you are a cook, or a collector of remarkable cookbooks, you must visit this shop for one of the finest curated selections I've seen in a long time.Traveling with a friend, he remarked, "you have to stand in awe of a bookstore that devotes an entire shelf to pies." And, indeed, the selection here is outstanding in the field. Even more than just an excellent, contemporary, well researched selection, I met one of the staff here who was incredibly helpful and, as a cook herself, passionate about cookbooks. She guided me to some selections I had missed, and highlighted two books in my interest that I wouldn't have seen otherwise.Excellent, broad and deep selection; great other books too, including local guides; passionate and helpful staff: this is the kind of bookstore that I wish was closer to home, too.
