I could never complain about a local shop full of homemade crafts. So much personality packed into every place you look! You really have to take your time walking through here, there are so many beautiful little trinkets you could miss if you walk through too fast.If there's one place you cannot leave Mayfair without visiting, this is it.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER! I was shopping with my disabled aunt who was in a wheelchair. I picked up a shirt to show her and the lady working told me that she would help me if I needed it. I said ok and continued to look around. I saw a cute cat necklace and picked it up to see the price and she yelled at me saying" I told you not to touch anything " I replied no you did not and she said that I'm not going buy it don't touch. There was about 4 other people in the store so it was very embarrassing. I told her she is very rude and I won't buy anything now. As we walked out she yelled across the store "see I knew you weren't going to buy anything " I will never goback!

I want start off by saying that I really wanted to give this place five stars because of the products sold here. I love supporting local artists and the jewelry this store sells is beautiful. I am very happy with the two necklaces and the set of earrings I bought. However, the service we experienced makes me never want to shop here ever again. My friend and I came into this location to look around and see if anything piqued our interest. It is important to know I am white and my friend is black. We had a good time looking at the beautiful necklaces and fun purses, and had picked up some items we were considering purchasing and held onto them as we looked around the store. The woman behind the counter (older lady, long gray hair) was friendly initially and reminded us a few times that the store is organized by artist so if we didn’t want something to put it back exactly where we found it. She talked to me a little bit about stuff like my job, my jewelry style, etc., but wasn’t very talkative with my friend, who loves interacting with store clerks. When it came time to check out I can understand some of the clerk’s frustration. My friend was on the fence about quite a few pieces and kept changing her mind about which ones she wanted. The clerk was getting more and more irritated, as she had to handwrite all the items being purchased and had to scratch out lines when my friend changed her mind. It came to a head when the clerk rang up two necklaces; my friend misread the price on one of the necklaces (the tag had the description of the gem and metal with “#8” on one side, and $42.00 on the other). When my friend pointed out she had gotten the numbers mixed up the clerk snapped at her and asked if was actually going to buy anything. At this point my friend cancelled her whole purchase and said she’d wait for me outside.I went to the counter to purchase my items and I tried to smooth out the situation, explaining that I understand it was frustrating how my friend was indecisive but she meant no harm in it. The clerk told me she “knew what game she was playing” and said she knew my friend stole something. I told her that is absolutely not the case; I’ve known my friend for ten years and she’s one of the most honest people I know and would never steal anything, she’s just very indecisive and is usually like this in stores. The clerk stood by her belief that my friend stole something, and said my friend is banned from the store. She also stated she’d be reviewing the camera footage and she’s let the surrounding stores and security know my friend is a thief and if she entered any of the other stores they were to call the police and have her arrested.I was so shocked in the moment I didn’t have the words to adequately express my anger and disgust. If the owner does see this review, I encourage you to review said camera footage, review your inventory, and see for yourself that nothing was stolen. She and I held onto our items in the same manner as we wandered around looking at stuff and I was not accused of stealing, but she was. As I said in the beginning, I love the products this store sells but I will never visit again as it is clear the employees have racial biases towards the customers that make the environment unwelcoming.

I’m absolutely in love with this shop! I’m located in Madison but come here everytime I’m in town! Cutest accessories (think Betsey Johnson meets Kate Spade). A lot of pop culture references, last time I went they had Betty White coasters but this time it was Johnny Depp. Cutest home decor. And the best part…. It’s local!

They also have a location at Brookfield Square. Really great selection of unique, locally made items. Shirts, jackets, hats, purses, lots of jewelry. There is a special section with kids' stuff. If you like to wear clothing and accessories that are a little off the well-worn path of all the commercial stores, you must check this place out.
