My dog got into some rat poison and the clinic helped verify my suspicion through x-rays and blood work. A plan was prescribed regarding treatment. Communication and follow-up was great! I felt my dog was in competent hands and they genuinely cared. Thank you.

Good care for my dog. Hilarious that it's next to a taxidermy place. Expect minimal $200 bill

I am a travel nurse in a camper with a large long hair German Shepard puppy. I liked the vet when we arrived in Lander. I wanted a second opinion about a surgery for my puppy. Granted my puppy was 82 pounds at the time. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. I have had to board this pup twice with them. Both times we were assured that they understood about his size, age, and breed. The first time he had to have medicine for "diarrhea". He was in a good trial for his scratching. I didn't understand that they switched his food while there when he had his. The silly pup like to plug himself up with string so we try and watch him closely. We were charged extra for that. The day before we get him. He scratched his nose pretty bad but he didn't seem to mind and wasn't bothering him. NOW the second boarding is a nightmare. We in trusted again with this facility. Asked if they were comfortable with him. As soon as we land in Texas for our sons military graduation, we get a voice mail that the facility says he is barking and a vet says he is aggressively anxious. Mind you he is use to being outside in the cold ALOT. This facility doesn't take them for exercises and was told he couldn't go outside. My spouse just went to pick him up. We were threatened. If we didn't agree to the medication and extra charges they would have placed my pup in a pound "release him" is what was said. We were also told he can't come back to board and find family to watch him. LOL I am a travel nurse and my family is across the states. I thought this was a friendly area but I have never experienced this. My spouse paid the extra because Shantel also said that we wouldn't have been able to take our dog. So we were placed in a hostage situation. But it is ok to use their vet services again. LOL. The handler at the boarding place was shocked that the pup "was aggressive and anxious". She even said that was the breed. Like I said. I liked the vet we met but the front office is unprofessional and horrible to pet owners that are not "local". Picture of the nose

LVAH has cared for our dogs through routine care, orthopedic surgery, and oncological surgery. We recently had to slide in suddenly for urgent care at a critical time for our older dog; the thorough testing and follow-up from Dr. Then and the front office team has incredibly appreciated and helpful.

I called in a few days back to have my cat put down, it was a very hard decision but needed to be done. I called to get information and schedule and appointment, I had no idea they didn’t keep them afterwards, which was fine but the lady on the phone had an attitude and told me if I can afford taking her back home then I would have to throw her out at the dump. That’s very rude and inappropriate words to say to someone already making such a hard decision. I ended up getting money together for cremation and came in later to make an appointment and pre pay I wasn’t happy with the ladies comments on the iPhone but it’s the only place in town, Upon walking in I over heard the two younger girls upfront complaining and talking about how people can’t afford their pets, how many pets end up rotting out at the dump and people don’t deserved animals. I won’t be back here, I refuse to spend money and have my darlings last moments at a place that thinks so low of its customers. I hope the owners of this facility train their employees better.

Our old dog had a seizure at midnight on a Saturday while we at Worthon Meadows camping. Dr. Dawson met us at the hospital and was so wonderful. She was very methodical and thorough. She offered us a space to park our camper which was still on the mountain at the time. We were able to go break camp and then take our boy back to Cody and have her suspicions confirmed with his regular vet. It was such a traumatic event littered with fear and her calm and kind approach was so comforting. If we lived closer, this would be the place all our pets would go!

My lil julia gave us a scare yesterday. She had her rabies vaccine and later we noticed her face was swollen, couldn't get a hold of our local vet so I called lander vet hospital. Got some advice on how much benadryl to give her, an hour later she started developing huge hives all over her body. I called lander vet hospital after hrs care gave her more benadryl. Seemed to help, hives were going down. Then @ 9pm they were coming back again and seemed to be worse. I called eme

Late on a Sunday.. my dog was attacked by another dog. He had some pretty significant lacerations to the top of his head and was going to require sutures/staples. I called the emergency number provided & Dr. Toye immediately answered. She didn't hesitate at all to come in late and fix our boy up.. even waiting an hour for us to drive over from Dubois! So thankful for her compassion, dedication, & kind heart. Hard to find a Vet practice that is truly caring these days! We appreciate it!

The staff at Lander Valley Animal Hospital are wonderful. When we had to make the decision to put our 14 yr old Jack Russell to sleep, they were so thoughtful & comforting through the process. We sat outside on a bench, holding her. It was very peaceful, as we said our good-byes. Also, a few days later, we received a beautiful sympathy card with all the staff's signatures. I highly recommend LVAH to everyone

They love our dogs as much as we do! From amputating toes to removing impacted socks, they have been great with our Labradors.

From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcome, the staff treats you like they are HAPPY to see you and your pet. Unfortunately, my only experience thus far with LVAH has been to euthanize my best friend of 16 years. When our vet retired I was stuck finding someone else to do do Tina's end of life care. I called around and was not treated very well (I initially wanted her cremated) by the time I got to LVAH I was in tears and so frustrated. They assured me they would
