“Chris , the owner of Holland Service , quickly found the source of a noise that I was concerned about . He took the time to go on a test drive with me to hear the noise . He then promptly put my Jeep on the lift & was able to show me where the noise was coming from . The rear driveshaft u joint was the source. Myself & other mechanics had looked for the source but were unable to find it due to the play in the u joint being very slight. Also when driving, the noise sounded like it was coming from the front of the vehicle. I spent a lot of time & money replacing front axles, u joints, & wheel bearings that were recommended by a different mechanic and still had the noise . I highly recommend Chris & his crew @ Holland Service for quality work & diagnostic.”

My car had been hit by the car parking next to me in my garage, I think more than once. Marco dealt with what seemed like a complicated matter with her insurance company, made sure I had a rental car, which was paid for by her insurance, and most importantly did a flawless repair and paint job on my car. It is immaculate.”

“A little over ten years ago I moved to the Bay Area. I've always been a car enthusiast and I do a lot of my own work, so I really appreciate clarity, honesty, and value. When I moved to the East Bay from the South Bay, I was really worried about losing my car shop. It takes so long to find a good mechanic and when you do, it's even harder to let go. After a mediocre experience at another shop in Berkeley (a story for another time), I talked to Griffin about a necessary water pump replacement on my Audi. It's a common repair on these cars unfortunately. It's also very complex and is tough work (tight spaces and fiddly parts). Griffin provided me a very reasonable estimate and stuck to their pricing. They're communicative and have an excellent shop. It's also nice to work with some folks that appreciate and know their way around aftermarket enhancements. I'll be back for my routine service. I'm very impressed and happy with the work.”
“Had a flat (flattening?) tire and was hoping for a repair, so I called Orozco's. They said to bring it on by, no appointment necessary.They got me in immediately. Then I saw a sign that said 'cash only' and started to panic. One of the gentlemen told me that there was a bank just a block away, so I walked over.By the time I returned, the job was done. $30 for the repair, which seemed reasonable.As I was paying, I noted that the 'cash only' sign said for 'used tires' and something else. So I don't know if I actually had to pay cash. But I was glad to get it done so quickly. I'd come here again for future service.”

“Our 1989 Toyota Camry was damaged by a hit and run vehicle. It needed a new rear bumper. Golden Gate Collision's bid was substantially less than the first bid we received. The work was done in two days instead of seven. The repair was so excellent in color and fitting, that it was impossible to see it had been damaged. So we were very happy. Then, when we got in the car, we saw it had been throughly detailed inside as well as outside, which we didn't expect. We've been enjoying that as much as the new bumper. We would definitely take our car to Golden Gate Collision again.”

“Huge shoutout to Christian and the team at Berkeley Minicar. I hauled my '17 Civic to them after Honda Oakland tried to charge me $7k just to teardown my engine to diagnose what was going on with it. Christian was extremely patient, kind, and empathetic when dealing with me and my situation. They took the car in for a diagnostic and gave me a free loaner while they had it. Though they came to the same conclusion as Honda, they were more direct and explained that it would be better and cheaper for me to just replace the entire engine than try to dig around and search for the root problem which is what Honda was proposing. Though they are not able to provide that service, they were honest and open about the work. Please check these guys out next time you need some service done.”
